  • voix superbe .

    .mise en scène ..bof

  • beautiful performance! if only i were half this good...

  • L’ho perduta, Barbarina's aria from Le Nozze di Figaro

L’ho perduta, me meschina! I have lost it, woe is me!

Ah chi sa dove sarà? Ah, who knows where it is?

Non la trovo. L’ho perduta. I can’t find it. I have lost it.

Meschinella! Ecc. Miserable little me etc.

E mia cugina? E il padron, And my cousin, and the boss

cosa dirà? what will he say?

  • Good job...

  • omg what a voice!!

  • she looks like helena bonham carter in sweeney todd.

    and she sings beautifully. :)

  • wow!!! beautiful music!!! <3

  • effect with my eyes: creepy!!!

    effect with my ears: beautiful!

  • SUperrbissime voix

  • imini.. Good Luck!

  • She looks totally raped here...who is she supposed to have lost her virginity to?

  • @flippyrock19 The Count, most probably, the dirty fucker.. It's revealed in the previous scene that she was being abused by the Count ("voi mi dite sì spesso qual volta m'abbracciate, e mi baciate"), though at the time when this was written the age of consent was around 12, the same as Barbarina/Fanchette, so this wasn't as shocking as it would be today. I guess the pin she lost is probably a metaphor for her virginity and innocence; she's lost both of them.

  • @SilverPinions Yeah, it's like the equivalent of some old rich guy screwing around with some 18 year old girl on the sly. I don't think she's being abused. I'm pretty sure that Barbarina was a consenting party... She's kind of a slut...

  • @SilverPinions sorry that my aunt posted this comment she uses my account sometimes the comment she put was not offensive was it?

  • i have to sing it on my terminal examination. i'd do it successfully, and... i fell in love with this song for the first time(L)

  • its an aria not a song!

  • Is she Eva Liebau? She's amasing. What a fantastic voice for Mozart operas!!!

Fron now on I'm a fan of her.

  • Great

  • Cool...I'll check it out. I'm a Heidi Grant-Murphy fan.

  • I have to learn this song for my singing lessons ...pity i dont have much clue what im singing about all i know so far is that she has lost her needle and her mistress will not be happy...

  • Well, it's not the mistress that won't be happy but the master. She lost the needle/hair pin(in this case) that was to confirm the count's "date" with Susana...you should see the whole opera with subtitles, it's priceless. You'll laugh yourself to tears!I sang the Countess in first year. :)It's funny what a tragedy the very young barbarina makes out of it.Good luck with your singing!

  • I have to sing this for my singing lessons too :D grade 5?? that's all I know too :S she's lost her pin :P

  • i'm not sure i do grades... i just started a few terms ago and apparently this song best suited my voice...XD but now i am also doing "as if we never said goodbye" from sunset boulevard; but we still practice this one occasionally.

  • Yes, she has lost a needle she was to give to Susanna in order to arrange a meeting. In fact, she has not only lost this needle, but also her virginity, that's why she is churned up... because she can't get it back, of course;-) That's the best.known interpretation of it. (Or at least my father told me, he's a conductor) I have to learn it, too, and I like it very much.

  • hi, where did you get you info on this song? is there a web page or somthing I can looka at? I really think this song is about more then a needle, like you say.

  • @tissetatten My father is conductor, so I've always seen many operas. I played in this one when I was 8 years old. And I sometimes read operaguides. But I'm sure you can find information in Wikipedia or something like that...

  • @tissetatten oh, and I'm singing it in my singing lessons at the moment, so my teacher told me about it.

  • what is her name???????

  • Eva Liebau

  • This cavatina is one of my favorite parts of Le Nozze di Figaro...it isn't long, but it certainly is a musical gem!!!

  • Wow, gorgeous! That was AMAZING... she's perfect! and one of my favourite arias, too =]

  • What a voice and perfect playing! She is gorgeous, as a singer and as an actress. And the (usually) cheerful Mozart can be so genuinely haunting. The aria and the performance are a jewel.

  • So, who raped her? This is so haunting. And it sort of makes sense: lost the pin, lost her virginity. I like it.

  • i adore this aria

  • What kind of a productionis this? In the opera she is talkign about a pin that she lost that the count told her to look for it...Where do they come off in shwoing that she lost her virginity... I JUST LOVE HER VOICE!!!!!!! I will kepp listening to her since I have to sing this role soon

  • She´s perfect... love it.

  • Well that's Mozart in your face. You gotta love him.

  • How beautifully haunting this production is! (Have never seen it done this way.)

I'm preparing this role right now.

    Eva has a GIFT!

  • one of the most beautiful songs i've ever heard

  • that was an amazing performance of that piece. wow, stunning!

  • Who is she? She's amazing!

  • Eva Liebau

  • I love her voice, but I hate the production

  • that seems to be a very common feeling

  • @Lilya7 me too

  • I LOVE the production. It shows the nobility in decline... just as the play that was banned by the emperor. And the singing is formidable !! Buy this dvd !!

  • Brava, Eva!!!

ABRIL tkm

  • this is barbarina, its a soprano-role!
