  • This is my great grandfathers Lake! Capt. Joe Magone planted fish here back in the 1800's. It's great to see people enjoy it. 8) Joe was a part of the Wagon Trail back then.

  • Hahaah! What a kool fam/style video! Hey Seth, nice fish dude! That beaver didn't even give y'all a tail slap! Love Magone, great camping.

  • maskman: You would have to contact someone far more knowledgeable than I am regarding the "productiveness" of Magone Lake. Personally, the only fish I've ever seen caught out of Magone Lake is the one I videotaped! Call the John Day, Oregon Chamber of Commerce, and I'm sure they could put you in contact with someone locally there to answer your question.

  • I AGREE! Magone Lake is one of the most beautiful spots in all of the U.S.A. in my opinion, but let's not tell anyone okay? Locals like to keep places like this quiet, or before you know it, there will be condos surrounding the lake! (I would own the FIRST ONE built, by the way!)

  • yes this place seems very nice how productive would you say this place is?

  • This is an amazing video! What a neat place.
