This whole story only shows how a minor story can be blown totally out of proportions. Yeah, Letterman told a bad joke, and Palin got pissed, which she had every right to be. Then Letterman apologized. At first it was probably an honest apology, but it felt flat - mainly because of the audience in the studio, but the 2nd apology was honest and full-hearted. And shoul have been the end of that story. Unfortunately these strange people have to overreact like this, probably just to get noticed.
