  • Eugenie Scott... "...dinosaurs and humans living together at the same time, because obviously this would destroy evolution as we know it."

And yet we have... Eugenie Scott why do you keep ignoring the evidence of the red blood cells found in the leg bone of the Tyrannosaurus Rex found in 2003? I'm still waiting for an answer...

  • Hihi, you've been hit by a creatard votebot:)

  • The only time a vid like this is less than 80% is when it's votebotted. Dear Christians, I know that creationism is basically a lengthy rationalization on why its ok to lie. But it always struck me that lying for Jesus was a piss poor way to promote the faith.

Also, go produce something with creationism. Make some predictions and validate them in the realm of science. Stop trying to force it on ten year olds using the courts.

  • Ah, creationists. Because when you can't hold your own in a battle of ideas, you can always votebot.

  • Crazy that there are enough nuts around these days to make people actually have to explain why creationists are laughable.

  • Bigfoot and dinosaurs lived at the same time. Yep.

  • Once again; Vote to kill the vote bots!

  • I personally do not lik Chick Tracts. I don't think they provide enough substance to present God and the love of Christ to someone. I think a person needs to go to another person and talk to him/her. Geez, at least give someone a church tract - so that if one is willing (choose) to accept Christ as Saviour, then the person can go (if he wants to) to church - why- so he/she can learn of God (new abopted child - new Father).

I'm sure most athiests would not understand what I'm talking about.

  • You are right - I don 't undertstand. Its complete drivel.

  • @sandbar3000

What is that in 'secular' english?

  • What is "What" in secular english? A chick tract?

  • @sandbar3000 what you said enough substance to present ... the love of Christ to someone

  • A chick track makes it out to be like only a prayer. It's more than that. If a man does not believe with his heart- forget about it. Lip service is nothing.

  • I'm not a young earth creationist. I'm an old earth creationist. I never heard of people catergorized into these "old earth" and "young earth". This is a new concept for me and I'm a Christian.

That dude Kent Hovind is a nutcase! What a poor example of a Christian. Not wanting to pay taxes, saying the money is "God's", claiming that is not American . . . the list goes on and on. It's a shame he went to those colleges, they have a bad name now. He should have went to HAC and just preach

  • @sandbar3000

at least you see Kent for what he is, a jerk.

  • He's more than a jerk! He is claiming that he is a Christian and lied to the government! For what? He didn't want to pay taxes? Oh please. Ray Comfort is another one in his playground.

  • @sandbar3000 watch

    Should Christians Believe in Evolution?

  • Seems the bots got to this vid.

  • i believe the bible! don't pay attention to my tax charges and rejection of evidence!

  • I love her. I bet she was cute when she was younger! ;)

    She's frekin' adorable.

  • Yeah, I got a crush on her too. I love her voice.

  • @do0me0nice i don't believe in what she says. But she's sexy

  • 1.5 stars? Ugh.

  • Wow... votebotted much?

  • I wonder if God would approve of such actions.

  • but of course :)

  • My question to Dr. Scott: What are some of the less powerful theories in science?

    See:

From these observations we develop an explanation, an inference, that what explains all of these facts is that species have had histories, and that descent with modification has taken place. Evolution is thus a theory, and one of the most powerful ones in science.

Eugenie Scott, 1996, "Dealing with Antievolutionism."

  • Someone might say that the least powerful potential theory is string theory, which is, at the moment and possibly for a very long time if not indefinitely, untestable. It has the ability to explain a lot of phenomena, yet, because it cannot be legitimately tested by observable experimentation, at the moment or possibly indefinitely, it is arguably not a scientific principle. This explanation is probably not 100% accurate so I suggest you look into it.

  • You're switching up words. You're using the word "principle" now. Is it a theory or not?

  • Yea, that was poor wording on my part, I meant theory. To answer your question: "Is it a theory or not?" I guess it depends on who you ask, which is why I suggested you look into it. I'm under the impression that it explains a wide variety of phenomena, which some would say is the only requirement for a theory, yet it cannot be tested in the traditional scientific way, which others would say is also essential for a theory.

  • wohoo! Go Genie

  • Terrible bureaucrat.

  • Squirrels & possums share many similarities: habitat, diet, digits, etc. They also possess extraordinary differences as the opossum is a marsupial. So? Let us extrapolate & fantasize & focus upon the original "oposquirrel."

  • No, let's talk about homology and convergent evolution - they're much more interesting!

  • NIce quality. You can see the slides clearly.

  • i can't see your heads in the way
