HD2 had problems with a pink middle showing up in pics and video.. its like you had a whole pink "blob" in the middle, so he's testing on a white background to see if it's still there, but I guess it's not.
try backing up . . . obviously if your too close with a powerful flash it will over-saturate the image. I wouldn't think there would be a way to lower the power of the flash, but can you turn the flash off?
