Wow I'm seriously considering Buddhism now lol

I've been a Christian all of my life but I'm and Agnostic right now and I feel like Buddhism is one of the most peaceful religions on earth. Also you don't have to believe in God to be Buddhist.

Indeed. As an atheist, I've been considering Buddhism lately. However, I just don't feel like I could ever believe in reincarnation. The Buddhist worldview really is beautiful, though.

@pr0kris - Although some notion of reincarnation plays a big part in Tibetan Buddhism, it doesn't feature so much in other forms - like Zen. Indeed, many Buddhists would argue that reincarnation as usually understood - a 'soul' or 'self' that enters another body after death - is absolutely contrary to one of the Buddha's fundamental teachings: that there is no such separate self/soul . Metaphysics and religious dogma are NOT what Buddhism is about. Check it out...if you fancy ;)

@pr0kris You might want to check out the books of Stephen Batchelor,who was ordained and trained as both a Tibetan Buddhist monk and as a Korean Zen monk. "Confession of a Buddhist Atheist" might be right up your street!

@pr0kris You don't have to believe in reincarnation to adhere to the fundamental tenants of Buddhism. Buddhism is more of a philosophical outlook versus a strict set of "belief systems."
