PS Eye is capable of high exposure shots (where normal webcams really start to fail), if you can get bright lighting (REALLY bright, like the sun in your face bright) then a normal webcam is comparable. However the PS Eye is capable of night shots at 640x480 at 75 frames per second, effortlessly. The unfortunate part is there isnt recording software out there that records that fast (most limit it to 30fps...)
