In my estimation, Burt is the greatest Pop composer of the 20th Century ... mixes Gershwinesque quality to modern pop stylings ... his body of work is just unbelievable ... definite thanks to his wordman Hal David but Burt is the tunesmith ...
I was at that concert also ...flew in from Austin Tx....it was an amazing concert... a truly once in a life time treat. I almost got to meet him but he was ill and not feeling up to socializing.
I was very lucky to have been able to experience the musical richness of hearing Burt and his touring band joined by a symphony orchestra. Heaven fell that night. Thanks Burt, Josie, John, Donna, Eliza, Tom and the rest of the band; and a special thanks to the Corona Symphony Pops Orchestra.
There were more great musicians on that stage than I could count.
love it! this is who I heard it play the first time, when much younger. also the instrumental part is just great with him! and singers have followed with some beautiful version of this beautiful piece. a time of real music.
Mr. Bacharach you are so gifted, a genius in music! Thanks for making those unforgettable tunes that will remain in history book of music and in the hearts of many music lovers.
@SaxophoneFMajor7th I'm curious... where did the word "composer" ever go? They're now called "writers." I think the word "crafters" is most appropriate, but "writers" is the worst... It fails to give men like this gifted composer enough credit.
Please Burt dont cancel the Heinz Hall concert March 6, for Australia. I love you and have been playing this my entire life, now I 4 tickets and your not going to be their. Please I will do anything. Please change your mind.
this is what music is all about.....i just love everything this gifted ,gorgeous, guy has ever done,,,mr bacharach i hope you continue to grace us with your music for years to come
I can't think of any better way to begin a morning at 6:00am. Peaceful, elegant & so bilssfully smooth.

Y de repente aparece la cara
Pero es sólo un " juego " loco
Cuando termina, termina en lágrimas . . .
