  • Awesome...now I know what to do with all those scrapes I just can't seem to get rid of...

  • i see a forest with blue sky above and blue river beneath :D

  • Great questions at the end! I love it ! Beautiful use of colors!

  • very cool :)

  • While I was in college I loved going to galleries and museums to just "see art"... Some of the abstract pieces got to me, but I never knew why, I just liked them. And usually the description of the piece said "mixed materials", "mixed media", or something similar. Anyways, it looked so complicated... Now I know better. Thank you for this video AND for the questions.

  • Love the colors.

  • The simplest and best lesson of all. Thanks! :D

  • Omigosh. So cool. Must do.

  • Dana, very nice work, very inspiring, thank you. I am wondering, are you related to Dr. Cynthia Driscoll? AKA "Cynthia Drangus" as Dr. Steve Brule calls her? Again, thank you.

  • This is a fun technique. Thanks for the inspiration.

  • ♥ the colours

  • i love that pink piece of underwear ;-)

  • Great video, and inspiring to me as I have always wanted to do collage, and in my last 2 paintings I had fun adding a few objects to my painting. Now I am inspired to do more. I have some of those Folk Art paints that I have not used yet, as worried about the permanency of the paints. I use golden artist brand acrylics, and wondering if you know anything about the permanency of these much cheaper paints ?

  • that is fcking cool wow I use clay right now and glass button s and paints

  • You give me much inspiration. Love watching you work. Thanks. I am starting to really like abstract art with mixed media.

  • You give me much inspiration. Love watching you work. Thanks.

  • Inspirational recycling! Amazing watching it take shape. It reinforces my motto "Never throw anything away!" I love the thought-provoking statements at the end, and the photo manipulations of the piece. Excellent all round. Thanks for sharing!

  • Amazing ART! Beautiful music!

  • i see spiderman

  • LOVE IT!!! Can't wait to do this with my grandchildren. Thank you

  • I really enjoyed seeing the process of this piece being created. I think it makes the final piece that much better.

It also gives me some ideas for technique and inspiration for some more "random" pieces of stuff I find around the house. Trash into treasure.

  • oh, you gave me some ideas, thank you ^^

  • Wouldn't have thought about that but I love it!

  • Thanks! I love it! I totally love abstract art, but am too afraid to create it. I come from people who have to see "something" to appreciate it. Sometimes you just need to appreciate the beauty or color or shape, not the "skill" of recreating something with photographic accuracy.

  • Love it!!!

  • visita il video Arte contemporanea 2011 Giovanni De Rosa sono applicazioni di ricerche pittoriche

  • Wow... wonderful!! what a fantastic way to recycle all those scraps.

  • Easy when you're shown how. If I'd seen the finished work in a gallery I would never have thought I could do something like it. Thanks for sharing your wonderful ideas.

  • This is beautiful! I've been looking at ways to use scraps! Is the ' Gel Medium' a must, or can i use some kind of craft glue? Say PVA??? thanks again x

  • Love it!

  • Can't wait to show this to my students! So often they think you have to start with this magnanimus IDEA or have to have skill beyond belief to create something beautiful. This lets them see a beautiful piece in progress with just 'trash'. Thanks for your efforts to inspire.
