Oh my, you have my juices flowing!!!! Do have to put some type of sealer over this when it done? Also I have many old wallpaper books , would I be able to use some torn pieces of this over the canvas. Thanks for any information.
wowo....awesome!! now I know what to do with all different things I got laying around my house!! thanks for the INSPIRATION!!! keep them coming please !!!!!!!!!! loveeeeeeee it :)
While I was in college I loved going to galleries and museums to just "see art"... Some of the abstract pieces got to me, but I never knew why, I just liked them. And usually the description of the piece said "mixed materials", "mixed media", or something similar. Anyways, it looked so complicated... Now I know better. Thank you for this video AND for the questions.
Dana, very nice work, very inspiring, thank you. I am wondering, are you related to Dr. Cynthia Driscoll? AKA "Cynthia Drangus" as Dr. Steve Brule calls her? Again, thank you.
Great video, and inspiring to me as I have always wanted to do collage, and in my last 2 paintings I had fun adding a few objects to my painting. Now I am inspired to do more. I have some of those Folk Art paints that I have not used yet, as worried about the permanency of the paints. I use golden artist brand acrylics, and wondering if you know anything about the permanency of these much cheaper paints ?
"Never throw anything away!" Inspirational recycling! I really enjoyed seeing the process of this piece being created. I myself use mixed media, mainly recycle styrofoam from dumpters. I use sheets of it instead of canvas....now I will use my table scraps instead of throwing in trash...lol..lol. Amazing ART! Beautiful music! Check me out when you get time. Thank you
Inspirational recycling! Amazing watching it take shape. It reinforces my motto "Never throw anything away!" I love the thought-provoking statements at the end, and the photo manipulations of the piece. Excellent all round. Thanks for sharing!
Thanks! I love it! I totally love abstract art, but am too afraid to create it. I come from people who have to see "something" to appreciate it. Sometimes you just need to appreciate the beauty or color or shape, not the "skill" of recreating something with photographic accuracy.
Easy when you're shown how. If I'd seen the finished work in a gallery I would never have thought I could do something like it. Thanks for sharing your wonderful ideas.
This is beautiful! I've been looking at ways to use scraps! Is the ' Gel Medium' a must, or can i use some kind of craft glue? Say PVA??? thanks again x
very exciting I also do this type of art however with recycled art check my site out under my name if u want its under Mixed Media as well thanks for sharing this
Can't wait to show this to my students! So often they think you have to start with this magnanimus IDEA or have to have skill beyond belief to create something beautiful. This lets them see a beautiful piece in progress with just 'trash'. Thanks for your efforts to inspire.
Love it! Will keep this in mind next time I'm ready to throw away teeny tiny bits of paper that I think have absolutely no use. Might use this idea for a journal page!
gorgeous intuitive art love the way you flow it all together into the final piece. I saw pathways across a raging ocean and also a scarab beetle. beautifully thought provoking
Recycle papers and save trees is what i saw in the picture @.@

I really enjoyed seeing the process of this piece being created. I think it makes the final piece that much better.
It also gives me some ideas for technique and inspiration for some more "random" pieces of stuff I find around the house. Trash into treasure.
