actually u DO unlock luigi. u see after u get 120 stars on the mario file. u go talk to rosalina to get to bowser's place. when u defeat bowser u unlock luigi. it even says at the end. there is also a difference between luigi and mario. u see luigi jumps and runs better then mario. but he stops slower then mario. so luigi could be a little easy thing to finish.

Until about 95 the game was pretty simple. Never reached a game over but some of the galaxies with comets (special levels like collect 100 coins or there is a time limit) took 5 plus tries.

Well, in Galaxy, Luigi's faster, and I'm glad for that, he also slides more, which makes sense because Luigi sides like crazy too in just about any game. But in recent games (SMB3, SMW, SSB, ect.)Mario was the speed, Luigi was the jumping and sliding.
