I remember when my son came home with an awards certificate from school one day. He immediately threw it in the trash. Our first game we lost by 1 point but that was the other teams last game so I thought that we did pretty good... Now our boys on the other hand lost by 38 points. But our coaches never said anytthing bad. Wow this is bullshit. I was on the basketball team in middle school and we lost 88-2, the other team was just 15cm taller in average and obviously had better skills, we didn't cry and we didn't expect any kind of apology, if they apologized we would be HUMILIATED.
We didn't cry, we took the devastating defeat and laughed about it. We shook hands and had a few casual 3 on 3 afterwards, one of the guys actually taught me a good move that I use to this day.

I also think that both coaches from Dallas Academy and Covenant should be reevaluated. Coach Grimes seems to lack professionalism. He could of ask the refs for a running clock. On the flip slip, Covenant's bball coach didn't do a good job of teaching basic bball skills from the look of the edited version of the game.
I just saw the edited version of the game. Trust me, you will come to the conclusion that Dallas Academy (DA) could of lost 200-0. You can see that the winning team didn't tried to run the score. What a lot of people don't know about the Dallas Academy is that they only have 20 girls in the entire school. These girls also have ADHD and Dyslexia. This is the reason that the win is causing a lot of controversy. I don't agree with the ruling at all. Athletes in the NBA have these learning disabilities and it obviously hasn't affected them. Our first game we lost by 1 point but that was the other teams last game so I thought that we did pretty good... Now our boys on the other hand lost by 38 points. But our coaches never said anytthing bad. We took the loss and just practice harder in practice..(: Thats how every athlete should be! & DOnt cry because you loose one game theres plenty in the future& make the best of themselves

Wow this is bullshit. I was on the basketball team in middle school and we lost 88-2, the other team was just 15cm taller in average and obviously had better skills, we didn't cry and we didn't expect any kind of apology, if they apologized we would be HUMILIATED.
We didn't cry, we took the devastating defeat and laughed about it. We shook hands and had a few casual 3 on 3 afterwards, one of the guys actually taught me a good move that I use to this day.

I also think that both coaches from Dallas Academy and Covenant should be reevaluated. Coach Grimes seems to lack professionalism. He could of ask the refs for a running clock. On the flip slip, Covenant's bball coach didn't do a good job of teaching basic bball skills from the look of the edited version of the game.

I just saw the edited version of the game. Trust me, you will come to the conclusion that Dallas Academy (DA) could of lost 200-0. You can see that the winning team didn't tried to run the score. Moreover, DA never ran back on defense when they turnover the ball. The main reason coach was fired was because he didn't apologized and toe his former school line. The school's athletic director should schedule games that match the school's talents.

Ok let me get this straight, after 10 years of basketball, and being told to " always do your best, and never quit" Now just because an ADHD school lost, just because they have ADHD (which only effects school, not sports) That rule is postponed. an important thing to look at here is that he lost 82 to 6 and he didnt cry about it. but when he won the other team didnt like it. the thing to keep in mind is that the game should have been ended and the LOSING coach should have conceded it. when it got to 80 to 0 he shoulda walked over there and said, "yup you just whupped our asses lets call it a night they are kids" otherwise the loser wanted to and DECIDED to continue LOSING and they certainly did.
