  • I actually like this video, but I was expecting Ozzy to say fuck in every sentence like he always does lol

  • Look at those fucking Laney stacks! Fucking righteous!

  • @TIMOTHYSAARINEN I would kill for Geezer's rig...

  • @synystersevilheir , OK, you take Geezer's rig, and I'll take Tony's rig! Problem for me is, I'm not a Lefty! Oh well, I can easily make do with one of those Laneys. Also, I'm a decent drummer, I'd kill for Bill's drums!

  • CRAZY OLD OZZY......brushing his teeth with a push broom. He is sucha badass xD

  • where did you get this vid?

  • ahahah ozzy is the best!!

  • I love Black Sabbath.....always will

  • cool..thanks

  • What kind of amps are those?

  • @davidmmcguire71 those are Laney amps

  • Tony used Marshall later on but now once again is using Laney

  • @AFFRO69 yea....i thought they looked like marshalls @ around 1:20 behinde Geezer but they don't have a logo and it looked like in the upper left corner they had something coverd up...oh well. still very cool footage.

  • @davidmmcguire71

    not marshalls

  • Tony and Geezer had awesome hair back then.

  • Not only are they so stoned, but Ozzy definetely suffers from the ADD's.

  • I didn't understand one word

  • funny men :)

  • In this clip Ozzy kinda reminds of me when I'm either stoned, drunk or have too much caffeine in my system

  • WTF try look at Ozzy from the start to 0:06 LOL

  • It's because he was born in Birmigham, an area in England where English is very hard to understand. -so funny!

  • I like Geezer's red leather jacket, it makes him look badass. Then again, Geezer's always a badass and one of my favorite/influential bass players.

  • its funny how black sabbath has no interviews in these day but they have this one clip

  • @PortsmouthFilms eat my fuck.

  • SHARRRONNNNNNN!!!!!!

  • @LisaJMoore You'd probably go up to Rob Schneider and say "Makin' Copies!!!" Or Dave Chappelle and say "I'm Rick James, bitch!!!" - no more television for you. You obviously can't handle it.

  • @IshadaKatzteilov But there is some great shit on TV.,....you are so cruel!

  • ha! ozzy at the end

  • Press 4 for "these Ludwigs."

  • legends

  • @PortsmouthFilms Hahaha

  • does anyone know wat toni iommi says at 0:25

  • @EMAN053909 sounds like "like a little girl behind the wall" xD

  • @EMAN053909 "like a little girl beyond the wall" is what is sounds like to me.

  • ozzy gone full retard

  • @steveorama1978 he was fucking stoned out of his mind, you moron :D

  • @doom696mented This i know.

  • A girl I used to know told me one epic fact many many years ago.

She said, the uglier the band, the better the music :D

Not too many 22 year olds creating music like this anymore.

    Cheers.

  • Geezer Butler has the biggest nose of England

  • The ending cracks me up

  • coolest guys on earth.

  • Ahh!!! Check out that fucking Accent !!! the ´best in the world ! Brummies !! Birmingham ! That where all your ROCK come from ! That where its was born ! and let that be a lesson to all you so called Rock Bands !

  • they are all ugly ass dudes but they make AMAZING music so it cancels out the ugliness lol

  • @sk8eronthaweekendz you know what else cancels out the ugliness? The fact that hordes of groupies were ready to kneel in front of them with open mouths!

  • i wish my friends made sound effects all the time...(silence ensues)

  • now imagine this set

    Behind the wall of sleep

    Hand of Doom

    Sweet leaf

    Snowblind & Supernuat

    A National Acrobat

    Symptom of the Universe

Gypsy or Backstreet Kids (maybe both)

    Shock Waves?

    that'd be so frickin epic.

  • is that ozzy or Kelly " his daughter" at 1:50 exactly 1:50 ??

    :P

  • Geezer somehow reminds me on Cliff Burton.

  • @josiprietkovic yeah definately

  • love geezers jacket! looks awesome

  • Wow, even back then Ozzy had problembs with speaking english fluently.

  • @kawuniadarunia2 You too, eh?

  • @kawuniadarunia2 It's because he was born in Birmigham, an area in England where English is very hard to understand. Besides, Ozzy always had dyslexia which made his English even difficult to understand. And now... fuck... look at him: he's an old man who abused hard drugs and very large amounts of alcohol throughout the past 30 years or so, things that really affected that part of his brain which deals with talking ability.

  • @doom696mented Dyslexia isn't a speech impediment.

  • @IshadaKatzteilov I wanted to say that dyslexia is ONE OF THE problems Ozzy has... there are of course other problems regarding his power of speech, and those are drug and alcohol abuse (-> the parkin syndrome). Compare the way he was talking in the 70s with how he speaks NOW...

  • @doom696mented It said in his book that he fakes that unintelligible speech he has nowadays.

  • @Zyo117 well then he's the greatest actor of all time

  • @IshadaKatzteilov thats right i'm dyslexic an i dont really have a sppech impediemnet

  • Lol @ Ozzy rocking with the mop.

I do actually recall an interview with Bill Ward in which he said something like "Ozzy's a really funny guy, if he would do anything else except music, he could be a comedian"

Now to be fair, I would love to see Ozzy do a stand up comedy show, he does have some really funny stories!

  • those cymbals look sexy as hell

  • besides Ozzy, the other three members are all shy and soft spoken.

  • Poor Ozzy is a walking/talking "Say No to Drugs" billboard. He was so full of expression and vitality before drugs and alcohol numbed his motor skills.

  • @goncack the thing is it's the medication that seemed to do that to him, look at him in 86, he was at his worst around then but you can understand every word. five years or so later, well off the drugs and alcohol and you can hardly understand a word

  • Shit they were so young... Hold old are they? 20? 22? Bill and Tony look so much better..

    Tony is so hot..

  • @ZeppFloydSabbath yeah bout 20-21

  • let the madnes begin!!!!!!!

  • ..... Black Sabbath vloging here? ...wtf

  • great to see the scene like this

  • These guys are Gods, nothing else.

  • man,love this video,they were just kids having their fun.it was a company...now.....

  • bill ward is one of my favorite drummers, along with the great old,-black sabbath

  • @ToneCapone570 mine too due they had to carry him to his drum stool because he drank so bad but once he got there ..wow ..what a beast

  • @ToneCapone570 you knows it!

  • fuckin' kings!!!!!!

  • Long live Sabbath..

  • @knutheifer ozzy isnt dead

  • @knutfheifer hey, ur a dumass ozzy osbourne isent dead WTF loollllllllz

  • what planet are you from?

  • @knutfheifer WTF am I seeing? Ozzy's not dead. Where the hell have you been?

  • @knutfheifer WTF am I seeing? Ozzy's not dead. Where the hell have you been?

  • @BlackSabbathRockR19 Don't punk with the necromancer, stop!!!, quick, answer me! too slow you loose.

  • Ozzy BS way better than LedZep (my op is that LZ is too bluesy, and they never really created anything or inspired other musicians to carry on their work, they were just really good musicians), although the warm-up sounds a little Bohnam like.

  • as much as a fucking love black sabbath, as much as anyone on the planet, i really must insist you don't slag the dear old zeppelin off that badly.

they never inspired anyone? they never really created anything?!?

i'm not going to go into platitudes of examples as to how utterly untrue these statements are. it is sufficient to simply rewrite your 2 preposterous claims, so everyone can see them and laugh at them, and know you, my friend, are a jack ass.

    more cowbell, please.

  • No platitudes? Never bring a knife to a gun fight, friend. Your brain is a wad of jiz.. Your claim is just as flimsy. Here are more of my platitudes:

-BS started a whole new genre, heavy metal.

-Can't wait to get my tickets to "Plant" fest.

-TI pushed a new sound (ie., intro to Cornucopia)

-Jimmy Paige plays with Eric Clapton, yuck.

    -Randy Rhodes

Was LZ and great band? Yeah. But all they did was sell out stadiums, sold records and then diminished. BS's dark sound and influence never gets old.

  • i'd rather not bring knives or guns.

black sabbath's importance still lives on, and i realize not just in my house. but the mighty zeppelin, hey man - you can't just write them off as stadium sellouts.

the first 5 zeppelin albums have stood the test of time as well as anything sabbath managed (i'm not even comfortable comparing the two, i'm just defending jimmy page and company).

i guess i'm the only one who thinks so, what, with my jizz wad brain.

but you simply cannot say zep diminished

  • @TheRedmend

"-Jimmy Paige plays with Eric Clapton, yuck"

The same Eric Clapton whose band Cream inspired Sabbath and who helped pioneer metal. Also, all four Sabbath members have played with godawful hair metal and nu metal musicians.

"BS's dark sound and influence never gets old."

People love riffs like Whole Lotta Love just as much as they love War Pigs. Sabbath released some pretty forgettable albums shortly before Ozzy was kicked out. Even they admit it.

  • LMAO..!!

    These guys were soooo great..!

    Long Live Ozzy..!!

  • they are so stoned

  • @brewtality101 haha, agreed!

  • If you love sabbath-

  • Haha Saint John. Even funnier because Ozzy's name is John.

And 1:14 sounds like he's tryin to imitate the squeaking hahaha. Funny video, thanks for posting.

  • @MetalOxy no shit, that's why Geezer said it, because OzzY is John!

  • @MetalOxy thats because he IS tryign to imatate the seqaking

  • @MetalOxy That was the joke in the first place. Not: "Even funnier because" - Just: "Funny because".

  • 1:31 LOL

    1:36 Awesome bass solo!

  • whos tony iommi in the vid?

  • first dude smoking the cigarette...

  • the second person seen in the video, at 0:22. he's still got that same greaser moustache today that he had back then (and probably in high school). but he's the all time riffmeister, and made some crazy music with ozzy, so he can do no wrong in my book.

  • Ozzy cracks me up with that stoner laugh of his (a la Dennis Hopper in Easy Rider). lol

  • these heros were so neglected in the 70s.... thts so unfair.... how cn u disrespect the best metal band ever?!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!1

by the way tonis got a funy hairstyle

  • "These Ludwigs, they're nice, but uh..."

  • Cool video, nice post!

  • look at iommi's hair, looks sick haha

  • 1:07..."Saint John"...heheheheheeheh

  • Oh man... I almost cried seeing that video!

  • lol at 1:00

  • how old were they here. anyone know?

CHILDREN OF THE GRAVE would be an awesome show opener and ends with WARPIGS or PARANOID

  • 21 or 22....they were all born in 1948 except for Geezer who was born in 49.

  • shut the fuck up and watch the video.

    Lol.

  • im pretty sure thats ozzy making all those noises haha he was and still is one of the funniest and most talented people in the world

  • it's not Bassically

  • awesome!

  • i have this concert on dvd some one had copied it off the tv.

  • yeah, it's from Live in Paris 1970 tv air))

  • man ozzys smile its just amazing (:

  • Hey, look, Ozzy back when he actually had facial expressions.

  • anybody have an idea what geezer is playing during 1:35?

  • He's just dicking around.

  • oh thanks man helps alot, a scaled or something would be better or something

  • From what I can hear it sounds like he's messing around with the pentatonic scale in E.

  • he's just doing some scales

  • It's called "Bassically".

  • its called thats not it

  • You just hear a few seconds of it but, yes, it is in fact called "Bassically". Even if anyone else says it's not. LOL It can be found on the first album. Most of the times I've listened to it over the years, it was on cassette. *blush*

  • dude i know what bassically is and sounds like im not a poser to sabbath, and its not bassically cause basically is played a tiny bit higher toawrds where geezer is playing

  • LOL And Vanilla Ice never ripped off David Bowie and Queen either. I mean, there was a "tiny bit" of difference. Ok, since intention is everything with me, I'll guess I should say that I don't actually know for a fact what he was INTENDING to play.... Bassically? An improvised version of Bassically? Or something that had little or nothing to do with Bassically (as you seem to think) and happened to sound similar to it but was a 'tiny bit' different. I really don't give a bats ass. ;)

  • if it was bassically i obviously wouldnt be stating the question " anyone know what geezer is playing" and if u dont care dont comment

  • LOL Simply because YOU can't recognize it as Bassically or at the very least some improvised version of Bassically, then it must be something else? Is that what you're saying??? As for me not caring, I obviously "cared" enough to make the comments I'd made to that point. Duh The wink was meant to tip the reader off to that fact but you apparently either didn't see it... or recognize it as what it was. Hee

  • cause its not fuckin bassically , and its not an improved version of it cause its hes not playing it in the right spot of where Bassically is suppose to be played. I dont care what u have to say cause you didnt help my question in the first place cause your answer was wrong its not bassically if it was bassically or and improved version of bassically i would of went"oh thats bassically played a little weird"

  • Then the answer to my fuckin question is fuckin yes??? What the he's fuckin around with there can't possibly be fuckin Bassically because YOUR fuckin ass has apparently traveled fuckin time and fuckin read his fuckin mind as he was fuckin playing. LOL What do you mean if it was Bassically, YOU would have said it was Bassically? As if you're Geezer himself incognito. Only asking because I don't actually think you've traveled time and the last I heard, Miss Cleo was in jail. LOL

  • cause ive listened to bassically many fuckin times before and what geezer is playing in this video is not fucking bassically so shut your god damn mouth with this bassically shit . i was hoping for a scale from the beginning but i get fucking stupid answers like bassically from retarded people like yourself so you dont really help the cause

  • I was trying to cut your insane ass some slack on this but, yes, that's exactly what I've been thinking: you may well have mental problems. But way to project your mental problems onto others, ya fucked up prick. How fucked up in the head do you have be to first state that it's not Bassically simply because bassically is played a 'tiny bit higher' but also conclude that it absolutely is NOT an improvised version of it? Anyone with 2 ears that work right can recognize this as Bassically.

  • its real simple go fuck yourself pretty easy and i think u have mental problems cause you sound like a fuckin tool on here so goodbye shithead

  • See, and I was just about to loan your starvin "artist" ass a few bucks so you could go out and buy yourself a book on how NOT to project your own personality traits and mental issues onto others, reading lessons so you can comprehend what you're reading in that book, and big bag of assorted punctuation marks so when you eventually realize you're full of shit about this, you can apologize in writing that doesn't look like that of someone still stuck in first grade. Oh well.

  • Maybe even lend it to you. LOL

  • it s unreal to see them very young !!

    Sabbath Bloody Sabbath

  • my god...they are human...........;(

  • HAHA saint john

  • haha

  • lol geezer put that thing on ozzys head

  • have you noticed that the whole band have the same voice except ozzy

  • the whole band LOOKS the same except ozzy.

  • Did tony said "like a little girl behind the wall" or something like that?

  • Early sabbath wrote realistically about the Hell of drug addiction (Hand of Doom), The ravages of nuclear war, (Electric Funeral), The stupidity and aftermath of war (war Pigs, Children of the grave,)

The bleak future of mankind (Into The Void, Hole in the sky") manic depression (Wheels of confusion, Solitude,Paranoid.) Ruined relationships, (Changes, She's gone)

These are off the top of my head. DARK! Bighippy94 is either a troll, or an uninformed, ignorant sod who knows nothing of Sabbath.

  • For me, I think Dio is a fantastic singer, but it's really about the first three Sabbath albums for me. It would've been nice if their record company hadn't gone and done stupid things like putting an inverted cross in the gatefold of their first album! Then the next thing the band knows they're getting an invite from Anton Lavey to perform at a satanic parade in L.A.! No joke! The band was just a bunch of young punks writing horror story type songs! The later real satanic stuff is too much.

  • I personally think it's good they put that inverted cross in the gatefold. Sabbath sure got much more publicity than they would have had without it

  • Well from the accounts I've read the band knew nothing of the inverted cross in the album until it was pressed! It's just another example of a record label taking their own liberities with big dollar signs in their eyes. You don't just go around making THAT type of publicity for your band without consulting them. I would've been steaming pissed! Thankfully Warner Brothers here in the States didn't issue the album that way.

  • whats the point of cleaning the concert area if the place iis gonna be a mess right after the concert(ITS A BLACK SABBATH CONCERT!!!!!!) its gonna be crazy

  • Sabbath with Ozzy: An Amazing band

Sabbath woth Dio: Another Amazing band...so good as the other, different but awesome, both of them

  • back then, sabbath had a lot of fun before they became ''bigger'' with ozzy osbourne

  • yea fuck ronnie 'james'dio. ozzy is best ever was an will be.

  • With Dio, they were more about fantasy rather than the occult. Both line-ups were good, but Sabbath were better on the darker side so the Ozzy line-up was better.

  • No.

The difference between the early era and the late era is the early stuff was jazz influenced with only a little bit of metal. Their lyrics were actually inspirational. They were actually a bunch of hippies back then.

Once DIo came along they started act satanic, an more "hardcore". And thats when sabbath died (imo)

  • Yeh but Ozzy and Geezer thought up the idea of basing their music on the occult, and the darker side of life. They said so in an interview. Maybe so in the Dio years, but the first line-up was the darker one.

  • Darker?

most of their songs are happy songs

  • HAPPY?! Dark figures with eyes of burning fire? War? Death? Rebellion? I think you've got the wrong idea.

  • N.I.B.: talkes about Satan turning good and loving.

National acrobat: is about the wonders of life

spiral architect: talking about how their life is good.

sabbra cadabra: an ordinary love song

under the sun: they dont want to worry about religon while they live their life

Faeries wear boots: about a hallucination he had

hard road: life is hard, but you just got to move on.

never say die!: never give up

    supernaught: they like to imagine

  • ...but compared to all their other songs...

  • Uh. I would of gone on but the post count prevented me too.

Go through every album. The only dark songs i can think of from the top of my head is Lord of this world, Sabbath bloody sabbath, megalomania, and wicked world.

Out of all the big bands early black sabbath were easily the most care-free and and happy go lucky.
