this axle back kicks ass. the only problem i had was it was too long. i had to pony up $160 to get it cut. I've had it for a little over a year now.i love it.now im thinking bout getting a straight pipe also.

I have a 2008 Lancer DE, which is one step down from the ES. came with hubcaps, but just picked up some factory rims for the ES. some lady sold them to me for 100 bucks lol, was a steal, but Ive been looking to got a CAI for a little bit more power, is it worth it, being that it is a CVT? I mean is there a noticable difference
@kristofferpence hey man I have an 08 ES w/ CVT with the Injen CAI. it's nice as shit man but I had to take off the front bumper and all that stuff to install. it def gives a lil more kick and it sounds legit :) I'm actually thinking about ordering the Tsudo exhaust system myself. honestly i know shit all about cars, i just bought a 2002 Lancer GLI CE2 1.8l yesterday and im keen on doing a bit of mods. I wish installing my axle back was easy like it seemed for you. My factory bolt ons were too rusty to unscrew myself. Had to take it to a muffler shop, $35 for a 10 minute job. Not bad.
@0SpyderScope i would go with a car that you have resaerched if you want to spend alot of money on this car then go ahead my first car would be if i was you would be either a eclipse or eagle talon there cheap and there is so many mods im 16 and have a eagle talon esi
@0SpyderScope First of all you need to pay more attention in school. Second it's FWS (a simple Google search would tell you that.) Third, no there aren't a huge amount of mods yet because they're only about 4 years old and lastly you will have more fun if you get the 5 spd. CVT's can't hold a lot of torque so the MAX you'd get out of it is around 200 whp....
@OneFastGearHead which is still a good speed to start out you always have to start out with a A class s car to gain practice and upgrade to an class A so when you have a class a car you can drive like A pro and not crash into A tree lol and with A car that goes 200 whp with you would still whoop alot of cars out their and imagine if u do weight reduction on it it adds more hp.
@OneFastGearHead thats why you do a tranny swap with A bullet proof tranny the engine is strong especially if you put forged internals in the 4b11 its theshitty cvt tranny that cant hold 250 - 300 hp.
@swat305GINO It can handle up to about 200whp BUT you're gonna have to take very good care of that tranny and it wouldn't be that much fun to drive because you wouldn't be able to push it all the time...My plan is in about a year trade my Lancer in for a WRX STI and be happier :D

@0SpyderScope well my friend rampooch thats his nickname lol he got A honda accord and he dropped an h22 in it and he runs 200 hp and I went with him to the race and he whopped up honda civics and other cars etc this car is pretty fast stock its good for an intermidiate or begginer that wants to start racing it runs 152 hp stock and it can be hooked up to 200 - 230 hp and believe me thats fast if you would be going 200 whp you would be shitting bricks trust me people talk shit cuz they jealous.

Nice Vid, but when you removed the exhaust. You removed the rubbers first, wouldn't it have been easier to undo them last after you unbolted the exhaust lol.
nice clean install. i had one but the hanger on the canister slipped out from the rubber bushing. i ended up threading the end of it (about 3 inches) and screwing a nut on the end so it wouldnt happen again, so far so good
@Misu187 they can just make a bigger bend for ya at the exhaust shop and set your muffler at a slant bro..thats what i have done on my cars if the exhaust was too long

@Sipher91 all the 2008 and i think 2009 too have spoilers for all trim levels. people started complaining about the ricey look of the car and rear view visibility so they took it off for 2010 and 2011. now in for the 2011 the DE, and SE (SE in canada, not the ES) don't have a spoiler and only the GT comes with a spoiler. and now they changed it again. after july i believe none of the models of 2011 come with spoilers. but they added a lip spoiler + the same old spoiler as an option
i bought this same axel back for my 09 lancer gts ...sounds great but they manufactored it terrible they needed to move the forward bracket to the pipe and not weld it to the can...it broke thru twice from the pressure
since you have the 2.0 for about 50 dollars more for what you paid for your catback....you could have gotten the one that came with the test pipe...this would have given you and extra 10hp.i don't if that one would fit a gts. i have 2010 and when i got my N1 i had to get the 1 for the 2.4 yes i installed my 1 month or so...and the sound does get better.not too loud but crisp.for everyone who has the gts with the 2.4 you can get the turbo kit complete kit from RRM 16G turbo and get 275 hprs....

I just installed mine on my 2009 Mitsubishi Lancer DE, the stick shift version. Did you use that gusset ring that came with, because mine already had it on there. So I used the factory. Also, did you tighten those 2 bolts until they touched? I have like a 5 thread gap on each.
Yea def I'm in the same position I only have a HKS Hi-Power exhaust 60mm with only rear section and i'm currently searching for the matching cat back and down pipe. I'm not a pro with cars so searching for things like this is kinda hard...

Nice exhaust...I'm from the UK and have the same shape lancer as you but its a 2 litre deisel. Do you know if the Tsudo N1 can be fitted onto my car because I want to change my current exhaust. The layout of the exhaust system looks similar to yours so I guess it would bolt onto mine alrite, but just wandering if its ok for deisels. thanks

I think the video is pretty accurate, it's a high quality camera. Although from a cold start first thing in the morning it is a little too loud. After it's warmed up it's fine.

In different countries they have different names. In the US it's called ES in Canada it's called GT, and since you're from Indonesia, I'm assuming they call it EX there.

Yea i was a bit vague it seems if i tighten those bolts anymore it will start to bend the springs are completely compressed together i saw you didnt have your tsudo exhaust anymore but how long did it to break in and sound the best its going to get

I just installed mine on my 2009 Mitsubishi Lancer DE, the stick shift version. Did you use that gusset ring that came with, because mine already had it on there. So I used the factory. Also, did you tighten those 2 bolts until they touched? I have like a 5 thread gap on each.

Yea def I'm in the same position I only have a HKS Hi-Power exhaust 60mm with only rear section and i'm currently searching for the matching cat back and down pipe. I'm not a pro with cars so searching for things like this is kinda hard...

I don't think so... why would I? If anything I gained power because the stock muffler was so restrictive

true but sumtimes when u put a bigger pipe than stock like a 3in on a 150 hp car u lose horsepower. sorry didnt watch the rest of the vid so now i getcha

Only if it's the direct cause of the problem.
For example, if your bumper melted, the dealer will not fix it, since the exhaust most likely caused the problem.
However, if your speakers blow out, the exhaust has nothing to do with it so they will fix your speakers.

Nice exhaust...I'm from the UK and have the same shape lancer as you but its a 2 litre deisel. Do you know if the Tsudo N1 can be fitted onto my car because I want to change my current exhaust. The layout of the exhaust system looks similar to yours so I guess it would bolt onto mine alrite, but just wandering if its ok for deisels. thanks

Yes, it will fit the 09 ES.
I think the video is pretty accurate, it's a high quality camera. Although from a cold start first thing in the morning it is a little too loud. After it's warmed up it's fine.

In different countries they have different names. In the US it's called ES in Canada it's called GT, and since you're from Indonesia, I'm assuming they call it EX there.

It's only loud when you want it to be. Don't drive around like a maniac...
Also depends on where you live... Cops in my town don't really care about exhaust... as long as you got a cat.
I also passed inspection with the Tsudo on there. So it really just depends on where you live.
