Sampling is great, composition is great. Do what you feel, the end justifies the means, if it's HOT. Personally I wish everyone would shut the fuck up about what they feel is the "right way" to do YOUR thing. There's great music, sampled and composed, and there's shitty music, sampled and composed. Personally, i do both. But being that sampling was the core of what was hip hop beginnings, anyone who decided at some point it's "not music" but claims to love hip hop is a goddamn asshole.
For you Eleanor Mills fans, listen to her on a Norman Connors album singing "This is your life. She tears it up. One of those songs that kept the lover in me burnin'...
sorry, i wish that, but with the onset of technology, and schools not teaching music anymore ,,, all music genre's willl eventually suffer, as we already witness in so called r & b nowadays.....notice u dont hear the brass ie horns anymore it might come back, but it will be a awhile .......one luv
@metyuewb Because that requires a lot of equipment and money which is how hip hop got started in the first place SMARTASS. Lack of money equipment and other resources in addition to the advancements in modern technology birthed hip hop. Now I can have a whole band in a laptop rather than having the problems of a whole band. FYI making music that sounds like this is very hard to do on a laptop. Further more sampling is MUSIC and I'm gonna do me so pissoff. My channel is hiphopbeatsource check it.
@FreeThought911 The FUCK it does, making music??? GET AN INSTRUMENT, what's all the explaining?? The most brokeass people throughout history and the world have been and are able to make MUSIC because they WANT TO. PERIOD. And FUCK technology, use your goddamn SOUL if you've GOT one.
@metyuewb Even the music instruments played by the Stones Jimmy or any music you have ever heard were due to technological advancement. This very song by E Mills wouldn't be possible if it wasn't for technology. What music do you make? Or do you just talk shit about others who do what you can't. Or are you just a old hater that thinks all music has to be made with an instrument or its not music. You know nothing of music its history and how modern technology relates to it. You are a EPIC FAIL.
@FreeThought911 please, no need to be bitter. You need to find some kind of balance with using technology, cause as of now technology is killing music, it's sucking the lifeblood out of it. The less technology you use the more you can use your imagination when creating music, the more you use the more it actually corners you in with a fake kind of freedom. Just the fact that you're less inclined to use your memory in the process means you will think it through less.
