Sampling is great, composition is great. Do what you feel, the end justifies the means, if it's HOT. Personally I wish everyone would shut the fuck up about what they feel is the "right way" to do YOUR thing. There's great music, sampled and composed, and there's shitty music, sampled and composed. Personally, i do both. But being that sampling was the core of what was hip hop beginnings, anyone who decided at some point it's "not music" but claims to love hip hop is a goddamn asshole.

@metyuewb Because that requires a lot of equipment and money which is how hip hop got started in the first place SMARTASS. Lack of money equipment and other resources in addition to the advancements in modern technology birthed hip hop. Now I can have a whole band in a laptop rather than having the problems of a whole band. FYI making music that sounds like this is very hard to do on a laptop. @FreeThought911 please, no need to be bitter. You need to find some kind of balance with using technology, cause as of now technology is killing music, it's sucking the lifeblood out of it. The less technology you use the more you can use your imagination when creating music, the more you use the more it actually corners you in with a fake kind of freedom. Just the fact that you're less inclined to use your memory in the process means you will think it through less.
