@91dewayne norland who???? yes yall have a good band but who knows about norland???? you talk about central and carol city but there a power house band!! get like me
yall talkin about trumpets in the begginin that was the section leader takein nthat shit up by himself give the man props he ended the season with 12 trumpets when he startted the year with 2
You guys sound good, still always another level of musicality to attain (that's expected from high school). And most of you are right,10-15 years ago the band was almost eight times of this one. Everything has it's time,& budgets cuts don't encourage the situation either, still no excuses. Umm about the trombone part, I can remember when that melody was incorporated...highschoolers did that,It may have been revised through the years, but get over it TRUE Fall 96,
I can only sigh at the size! I guess 200 + is out question after 10-15 years. They sound though. This sad cloud will pass one day, but still, it will never rain on a ROCKET. Good job kids. And a igma phi to the bones. raw dawg, sounds of force '95
It has always been Central vs Carol City. Central needs to get back up in there. Carol City is killin' it in band and auxillary. Central needs to regain what they once had, especially size, to compete with a SWD again, much less Carol City
The excellence in musicianship is still the same and wont change. Central just needs to get back up in numbers like Carol City. Size has really been an issue for all Dade bands. Actually in comparison to 10 years ago, size seems to be a statewide issue if you ask me.
Hey. That's what happens when a)the budget is cut to do away with music and b)when you don't have band directors who don't actively recruit in junior high schools to entice them to come to Central
Yeah, I am a school teacher in Daytona Beach and they got rid of our chorus teacher just like that. Our band is steady but these days the kids aren't interested like we were back in my high school years from 1996-2000.
i'm really feelin this arrangement especially the trombone glisses and btones. sorta sounds like how FAMU would play it (but they NEVER EVER EVER will) with the diff parts u can hear
NORLAND kills carol city, central, nmb, anybody yall can think off. we have anything over yall!

OMG!!!!!!! What happened to them. I guess ten years does make a difference. I remember them back in 97'@ Famu's Battle of the Bands.

That's terrible. Hopefully, the budget comes around to include music in schools again.
