We Die Young, Sea of Sorrow, Bleed the Freak, It ain't like that, Sunshine, Put you Down, I know Somethin (bout you), Brother, Got Me Wrong, Right Turn, Them Bones, Dam that River, Down in a Hole, Rooster, Would?, No Excuses, Don't Follow, Grind, Heaven Beside You, and Over Now. All of them, Cantrell wrote the lyrics, and had at least part of the music writing. Its always been Jerry's band. I miss Layne, but William is much better than some give him credit for.

again - this is so bad that it is embarrasing to watch. I cannot believe that anyone who has ears would want to hear them fail miserably at trying to cover a song from a singer like Layne. And for all of you "I love AIC no matter what" people. You must have no brain, this is simply a cover band with a mediocre singer trying to sing a style he doesnt have the talent to hit - just like all the others that are in garages around the country - hang on to that crappy new album - its the last.

I actually went and saw them live and they are fantastic. your just a "Layne staley in chains" fan. but since jerry wrote every single song except three and about half the lyrics in thier catalog I'd say that the band is just as much jerrys. its not a cover band if the guy who writes all the fucking songs is in the band. you cant replace layne but duvall sings great i dont get why people like you bitch

@laynestaley1990 - I understand your point of view and I cant blame Jerry for moving forward as he is the brains behind the machine. These attempts to "COVER" old songs that were sung by Layne are several levels of quality below Laynes originals - especially the ones that Layne wrote (like this one). As great as Jerry is, any garage band can play this song as well - why would anyone want to hear this horrible version as if it was something worth listening too? it is painful to watch it is so bad

@laynestaley1990 I disagree...most garage bands can cover AIC songs easily, if they are semi good musicians. Like almost any art, the hard part is the creation, to copy is easy. I dont accept this crappy version, as you said yourself, the original is 50 billion times better. I will give new songs a chance, but most on that cd were weak and I didnt put it in the cd player again, except to hear the title track, which is amazing. Laynes & Jerry TOGETHER made AIC, this is a cover band.

they dont play the song the same every time. theres inflections of feeling in them its emotion. and how can you call the songs on bgwtb weak? a looking in veiw.. all secrets known, ACID BUBBLE for christ sakes. even songs like private hell. did you even listen to the words? they did it right. jerry steps up to do most main vocals and will is the harmony. in 09 I heard the intro riff to a looking in view on the radio and instantly knew it was alice. because they have the one and only sound

TRUE AIC fan since 89!!!.. DuVall did a great job on this one, but the screams from 4:45 on... I mean, he did a good job- but it didn't have the heart/emptiness/grit that Layne brought to the table. Then again, it's unfair to compare any vocalist to Layne!! This AIC is better than no AIC at all!.. Although he seems to play to the crowd a bit, no one should still be hating on DuVall... At first perhaps, but not now...
