  • I HATE to admit it, but I heard this at the Filmore on a Wednesday night when the Santana Blues Band (that's what their name was then) was doing an audition. It cost me all of one dollar (half of my hourly salary) and .... it was well worth it! I stuck with college, Carlos stayed in the same band ... the rest is history.

  • @Paige9900 Then why did you say you hate to admit it? You're sending mixed messages.

  • Live at the Rainbow London U.K. in 1971 .!!! Earth ,wind & Fire were the first group which mashed up the place then Santana came on and Broke down the whole of North London ....

lmao! hahahahhahahha i literally laughed at your post ahaha

  • The original is an african drum song. This, however, is a better version.

  • Santana is truly a guitar GOD and a beautiful songwriter (for those songs he wrote). Truly admirable. Most of his songs give me the chills they're so amazing.

  • How can 8 people dislike THIS?

  • very good!

    Juani Angélica!

  • This is what you call music

  • Comment removed

  • my aunt & uncle lived 2 houses away from a band member back in the early 70s to mid 70s in martinez cal.

  • Babatunde Olatunji on drums. famous African drummer. Grammy award winner, too. Rock and Roll Hall of Fame member.

  • I saw Santana play this song on January 1, 1971 in the Punchbowl at Honolulu. It was a free concert back in the days of hippies. I loved it. Right up close to the band, on the grass (the green kind that you sit on).

  • This one's not bad but the Santana and Clapton version is unbelievable.

  • the great carlos santana the only mexican that will shine world WIDE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • can anyone please tell me the fast santana song with no lyrics and the guitar is kinda fast and their are nice arpeggio fills in between rhythm guitar playing.

  • @Fu50popo nope, Its a really nice song, no lyrics, fast beat and has fast arpeggio fills.

  • Tres bien. Santanna is amazing...

  • Santana no tiene hits Mexicanos. He is American Citizen by hi own choise over been mexican. He rejected playing mexican music and became famous. Does Santana plays La Cucaracha?

  • @outwiththem you're a fuckin moron ....

  • @MrChiRockk You are the Mexican Donkey. Where are those international mexican hits by Santana? He rejected mexico for USA. Thruth hurts, you show it. So stop claiming he is mexican when he rejected all that crap and plays mostly Afro-Caribbean Music and Latin Rock.

  • were tapping to this for our spring concert love it...cant stay still with this song

  • this is music.

  • I dropped acid and listened to this song by Carlos Santana. I "freaked out" during the guitar solo. I imagined that I was falling in a UH-1D helicopter just like my good friend Warrant Officer Donald Richard White did a few days before. Meanwhile, a GI pulled a prank on me and waved a live lobster in my face. He didn't know I was tripping. I knocked over a wall locker which contained a friend's expensive stereo system. He told me about it the next day. He was angry at the other guy.

  • This is music!~ I remember our Woodstock days

  • great rythm!!!! CARLOS!

  • I feel like wearing my dancing shoes and hitting the floor

  • What a show that was live in Hamburg. It really rocked. It always is when it is Carlos Santana.

  • SANTANA FOREVER!

  • This is one song I wish I had heard when Santana first played it at the Fillmore. I can only imagine the excitement. From their classic first album.

  • Of course I love this track. It's my 20s... But it's a rip off "Jin-Go-Lo-Ba" of Babatunde Olatunji, issued in 1959 and available in YouTube. Check out.

  • Excellent- really uplifting.

  • I think different types of music speak to different parts of us. Some of us are more in touch with one part of ourselves than others--or we yearn to be! Music doesn't just speak to the soul--it speaks to the consciousness.
