  • hey, where in transcona was this? i film the main line going through day st.

  • This is'nt in Transcona, this is by Saskatchewan Ave, in the West End, near Westview Hill, and the Midland Railway

  • oh k thanks

  • Not bad. Too bad about the wind noise, but oh well right?

  • My camera is from Taiwan, so there's it's a little sensitive to sound for some reason, but the vid quality is good, i can get 12mp photos with it at 4000x3000 res

  • Nice to see some old GP9s even if they have benn rebuilt. I saw a CP GP9U running by itself on a 60-80 car train in Winona. First time I saw one come through.

  • Thanks, yeah i love trains the most on branches and spur lines, they have that old-school lazy speed to it, no rush

  • @TrainmasterCurt HOW would a GP9 CARRY 80 CARS?!? its only 1700 HP !!!

  • @trainz675 In the 50's and 60's GP9's were mainline units, but yeah you would need 2 to carry that many cars

  • @TrainmasterCurt you would need atleast 3.

  • That unit used to hang out in Winnipeg - I saw it on December 22, 2004 and October 11, 2005.

  • Still does, lol, Winnipeg still has some good quantity of industrial spurs in the city, there are lots of unused ones too
