  • lol, there's pictures of Grover everywhere

  • this should be rosivelt franklin

  • But there is one problem, Roosevelt Franklin disappeared when Matt Robinson (1st Gordon) left the show in 1972.

  • This is hands down the best voice Jim ever used for the show. wish he did more sketches talking like this

  • he should be live hand

  • I see several fingerpaint pictures of Grover on the walls.

  • GOSH THE TEACHERS TEETH

  • Is it just me or does Henson, who did the voice of mr. essence, sound like W.C. Fields?

  • That girl looks just like Prairie Dawn!

  • ALL SHE NEED IS HER PIANO LOL LOL

  • Isn't that her?

  • I used to learn this when I was younger

  • That teacher sounds in pain at the end. LOL!

  • at 1:25, the purple picture in the background begins to fall..

    just thought you should know..

  • words...rhyyyyyyyyme when they sound the same...classic!!

  • i'm doing this in class tomorrow!

  • You can see a picture of Grover back there too.

  • Does anyone have the video where the Count goes to school, and counts Ben as number 10?

  • ...class isn't for another 10 minutes!

  • Technically, that Flanders-like teacher is made out of a Large Lavender Live Hand Anything Muppet. Jim also used it for the Music Store shopkeeper, Granny Fanny Nesseldrone, Pat Playjacks and a few others. The Count was originally made out of that AM pattern, too.

  • Other lavender Muppets Jim Henson voiced include Bad Bart, Sinister Sam, Bip Bipadotta, Captain Vegetable, and the job employment man. Henson also voices a lot of orange gold muppets.

  • Yup, I recognize the voice all right--very similar to the one Jim used for Guy Smiley. The teacher Muppet looks pretty badly designed, though; I wonder how many kids got freaked out?

  • What's so bad about his design?

  • at 1:30 a picture slants off wall

  • Good one. Also could you put that horse film that was before the rhyming segment.

  • haha that teacher looks like my uncle :D

  • I hope your uncle doesn't lose his glasses!

  • haha i remember that funny looking teacher. :D

  • This segment would've been so much better if Roosevelt Franklin and/or Same-Sound Brown had been in it...

  • Speaking of these school scenes, does anyone have the

    "Listen To The Bells" skit?

  • Drooping artwork at 1:27. And I can HEAR the chalk-stains on Mr Essex's green trousers.

  • NED FLANDERS!!

  • lol! yeah that would be Ned Flanders in muppet form. :D
