  • all thanks to my idol jim henson

  • @1972simba1: Exactly. Love The Muppets in general. Same with Mr. Rogers, Reading Rainbow, Carmen Sandiego, Magic School Bus, & most recently, things like Word Girl (Superman meets Power Puff Girls meets School House Rock, in a way) for PBS. 90s Nick (specifically Rugrats & Hey Arnold [who began on the Street as claymation]), vintage Disney--the Sensational Six & the 50+ film classics--Warner Brothers, & others fill the void as well.

  • all thanks to my idol jim henson

  • I am Italian, I understand a little English, but some things not, anyone can write whatever I said to the member of sesame street when he said "the talk show host is really hard?" I do not understand what he says later, when framing Ellen Degeneres

  • do you mean, "a talk show host is really smart", i am just correcting you. ok?. oh and i think the member of sesame street that you are talking about is a muppet named telly monster, so i hope this helps you.

  • Thanks so much! Wasn't shown here in Canada, I was bummed I missed it. Surely I wasn't the only 40-something crying? :-) Time restraints and all, but I wish someone had bothered to mention Jim Henson, there'd be no Sesame Street without him. As a traveling kid, the show was my touchstone in foreign countries. As an adult, it was a lifeline when my autistic son was born. Bless you, Jim and Sesame Street, long may you reign!

Oh, and random, but my aunt was watching this award show last night and asked me to come in when Betty White showed up. What a darling woman, no? Anywho, when I saw Nat and Olivia appear on the screen (during the tributes) briefly I giggled like a stupid schoolgirl. Thanks to you, I am obsessed with Otalia!
