I get these exact migraines; with aura and severe pain. I've tried tons of meds but it was when I went gluten free that I had a drastic reduction in the number of attacks. Three years gluten-free, from 1 - 2 migraines a week, to only once a month.
Electro-sensitive people suffer from a variety of symptoms in close vicinity to electromagnetic fields, Wi-fi, mobiles, DECT phones, baby monitors, certain light sources etc: Headaches, Speech problems, dizziness, chest palpations, tinnitus, sweating at night. skin irritations, pins and needles in the hands in the mornings, short-term memory loss, nauseas, joint aches and pressures at the back of the head as well as in the sinus or forehead area.
Even if you are not ES, it is beneficial to turn off your Wifi over night, as well as to ban electrical items, your cordless phones and mobiles from your bedroom. You will sleep much better and are less likely to have an interrupted sleep pattern. Usually waking around 4 am.
Another simple test is to stop carrying your mobile on your body (chest or trouser pockets). in many cases people experience the so-called “phantom text messages”. This describes a situation where every now and then you think you had a text message, when keeping the phone in your pockets, but when you checked there was no message. Some even suffer from heart palpitations. If that is case, just try for a while to carry your mobile in a bag or switch it off, while you have it in your pocket.
Try Bio N magnets -- or some reputable therapeutic north polarized magnets seem to help my hemiplegic migraines.. After 4 months of left sided paralysis and nausea, numbness and visual disturbances, I was desperate --I taped one 2" magnet on my left frontal lobe (Over the eye brow) and was able to sleep better and had no left sided numbness, nausea or muscle paralysis. My vision was better as well.. Be careful and check it out with your neurologist first! PS - has anyone else tried this?
im having one right now when the aura goes away wich will be soon i will have extreme head pains i wish i had some weed as it seems to the only thing that has worked in the past
@rayflores My Grade 6 teacher thought I was making it upto get out of class, she didn't beleive me the first time it happened in school... And I didn't know what it was, I was seeing this weird shaped colorful thing in front of my face, I couldn't describe it to her... usually my day is over when it starts, i can't do anything... :'( Have they gotten worse?
I've heard COQ10 (co-enzyme Q10) helps eliminate the severity and frequency of migraine. It's a health food supplement - I saw it in my supermarket today.

I don't really get the headache very often, but I have noticed an increase in aura over the last few years. I'm a welder and sometimes the arc triggers the aura. I smoke weed too and have noticed aura triggered by the weed sometimes too. I smoked cigarettes for 20 years but quit 5 years ago. I know it seems normal as far as the number of people that suffer from it, but it still freaks me out
I just had my first aura today along with a bad migraine and vomitting.. i am very freaked out.. i was just wondering how many americans approximatly suffer from these.. and could it just of been a one time thing or will it happen frequently to me now?.. i would appreciate a response

I have had 3 Auras in my lifetime. All in the past year. My most recent one happened last week. An Aura is like a floater you get from looking at a light that just doesn't go away. My Auras usually last 20-30 minutes and then the migraine starts. If I just lay down and close my eyes the head ache goes within the hour.
