It never really came to my mind that there was more between them than friendship cos normally when love is around its like said in every situation and very cheesy so after a few mins it really makes you sick but its great here because it doesnt gain the upper hand and is still shown in few but in the most important situations eg when Crono gets revived.

I was really suprised about that scene when Marle tries to wake him up being his wife; then I understood
