longest running time of Rajdhani is 2436 New Delhi (NDLS) - Dibrugarh ( DBRT ) Rajdhani Exp (45 hrs) Dep day 1- 0930 hrs, Arr Day 3- 0625 hrs. This entire train runs on diesel.

@itsabhibiswas Ok u r right, Trains to the North Eastern states reduces speed considerably as there r numerous bridges ( atleast 1 every Km ), curves, last but not the least climbimg hills, but its a marvellous experience....

Indian railways...I just wanted to make a slight rectification....

now the longest continious run is of orissa sampark kranti between Tatanagar and Kanpur central with an average distance of nearly 870Kms...I hav travelled on this train many times and has observed this fact.The train does not halt at Mughalsarai also!!!!!however manages to creep at a pace of approx 20Kmph
