  • if only i was 18 >.<

  • if they came to the uk i think the age wud be differant... like 16 or 17 (i only say 17 cos of kids doing GCSE's and shiz)

  • What about you come to Poland and get me?

  • GUYS GUYS GUYS

The problem is CHILD LABOR LAWS

If you were under 18, you would not be able to work more than a few hours everyday

and that would slow down shooting

Once you are 18, then can work you as long as they want

and if you know Glee, then you know that they are constantly recording, learning choreography, and acting allllll daaaaay.

THATS WHY YOU HAVE TO BE OVER 18!!!

  • i wish i was 18!

  • what abot europe... there are gleeks here too! it would be fun to have an european on the show....

  • @elenaradcliffe91 I agree :)

  • @elenaradcliffe91 Damian McGinty is on the show, he is from Ireland, so there is some representation from that part of the world

  • @SammiLaineEvans Yeah but theyre not doing it through myspace this year, that's how Damian got in the 1st time :(

  • @elenaradcliffe91 you guys have Damian :D

  • Get a ginger on the show!

  • I think they probably figured they already gave LA and NYC already had a fair shot since most of the cast came from those areas that landed in season 1. Besides, most affordable air fare across the country would end up connecting in Chicago or Dallas anyway, why not just make it a non-stop flight for most people? I know it can be tough to get anywhere that's not your own backyard, but I think the choice made reflected ... pragmatism.

  • 1) Everyone stop complaining about the cities. They made this decision for a reason...maybe to find talent that normally wouldn't be able to go all the way to NY or LA for an audition.

    2) Stop complaining about the age. I have a feeling that one of the the reasons it's 18+ is because they don't want to take high school students away from school. They're actually doing you a favor of making sure you get your education.

    Sheesh.

  • @SHINJITSUnoRAVEN some of us are homeschooled.

  • @Emanizer Regardless, you're being taken away from your schoolwork. Promotion and filming for The Glee Project is going to take place throughout January, February, and March, and if they let high schoolers participate, too many kids would be falling behind, home-schooled or not.

  • I am very excited to audition! I must admit though, a lot of people have been complaining about the lack of cities and the age requirements. I have to agree, in Los Angeles and New York, the talent pool is MUCH bigger than that of Dallas and Chicago. This is ultimately going to discourage a lot of people from coming because there aren't enough cities to choose from :) I am interested as to how many people will go to auditions

  • Come to Canada or Vancouver! :)

  • What about another countries? WANT.

  • @JustAsSaneAsIAm I agree completely

  • i love to sing, but singing doesn't really love me tho :/

  • Hi, I was wondering if there's going to be anything in Florida? And I'm turning 18 in about a month, is that a problem? :/

  • I live in Canada (in the Niagara Region) Is there ANY auditions being held in the New York State? (or preferably but highly unlikely Toronto?)

  • So I finally turn 16 AND then your casting is for 18 and older?! Cold, man. Cold. I was born to be on a show, and the ever increasing age limit stops me time and time again. ARGH

  • omg can you guys come to NEW YORK CITY ,NEW JERSEY OR PHILIE?

  • I'm from Philippines and i believe that i have what it takes... is it possible having a chance to get a part? i can sing, dance & specially act...

  • Does anyone know if there'll be any auditions in LA

  • why aren't you coming to NYC?!

    There's so much talent here!

  • Hmm..can't get the gleecasting website to work.

  • Hate living in Australia when these opportunities come up.

  • 18 +.... no fair, what about REAL highschoolers who can sing, act, and dance with big personalities???

  • @Emanizer Because Sometimes doing a show like Glee they want Adults... Not necessarily meaning that you aren't great, just they don't want to have all of the attachments that come with Minors.

  • @Emanizer I TOTALLY AGREE! I mean with the Myspace auditions they allowed 16 and up. This is not fair to people who are 17 and 16 who can sing, act and dance. I kicked my self backwards not doing the Open Casting Call and I saw this and it got my hopes up only to kill them.

    Thank you Glee, Thanks alot</3

  • @Emanizer How many times can a person thumbs up something! A+ comment

  • The gleecasting website isn't working for me, but I would LOVE to audition in Dallas.

  • Auditioning in Dallas, on January 8th. Can't wait!

  • 18+? Lame. There is a lack of younger cast members on the Glee cast; there ARE freshman in high school, after all.

  • @JustAsSaneAsIAm The issue is child labor laws.

  • Any auditions being held in Los Angeles????

  • ugh why 18 nd up. :((

im in high skool 2 why cant i addition.

  • i love to sing but im horrible at it 0.o goodbye audition!!

  • I'm auditioning in Dallas (: YAAAAAY. Gold star for me (:
