  • watch this video: uranium-is-it-a-country

type the title into google or youtube and watch the reality of nuclear technology.

  • Australia should build nuke plants and nuke bombs!!!!!

  • how are nuclear power stations a help to the enviroment? not trying to start a fight here! just wondering how it'll work...

  • @EricaCartmann When you burn fuel of any form such as coal you discharge pollution into the environment. Since climate change is speculated to be driven by carbon emissions from burning of such fuels, then you choose energy sources that have little to no emissions. Nuclear and Renewable in terms of carbon emissions are such sources of energy. The environment is 'helped' by switching to these energy sources.

  • bad idea. cause england s at war with suicidal bombers this is just asking for trouble!

  • You are into energy ! I have an energy invention that is not fully exploited.

Please look and read at my site. good luck. It is about > Torque with liquid, wave pool on top of upside down triangle/pyramid crank & or with wind of a sail.

Thank you, good luck, > it is something that needs serious exploiting.

  • i do understand where greenpeace are coming from but where the fuck were they when we started to dig for oil, coal etc... The U.K has the Right to have Nuclear Power Stations becuase when the S.U created their first one they got told to fucking destroy it. Then america built one they go away with it. Not bieng naty or anything but every other country cant get the money to harvest Uranium-235 or any other materials to use as Nuclear Energy... Chernobyl happened by COMPLETE MISTAKE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • Its going to raise the temperature of the sea for starters and plutonium has a half life of over 200,000 years. One would say its well managed only on that station if its commercialised there is more much more chase of neglect mistakes and error so fk your nuclear power its time to protest. Invest that money give us grants so we can install more solar panels on our roofs.

  • @fireicer

what about thorium,it can be used as fuel, theres more of it and it lasts a few hundred year...

  • @captinseperoth Again it's producing larger amounts of heat and pollutants when we already have allot of heat. I think we should harness the heat we already have rather than make more at the cost of pollution whatever level. The earth has magnetism, sun, wind, sea, heat etc, we have so much natural energy around us digging up and converting stored energy from material fuels is old technology. ie. several hundred meters bellow are feet is a natural heater that gets very hot, so why nuclear

  • @captinseperoth the core of our earth is emitting tremendous heat and we dont have to diigg down too far to harness the energy from it. its an endless supply of heat. why not use a heat exchanger design to endlessly power our power stations.

  • i live at sizewell and it is not dererlicted there houses yards away from sizewell a and b and a big town called leiston

  • green peace want every one living in mud huts

  • The cheif 'spin-doctor' for EDF is Gordon Brown's brother Andrew Brown!!

Its MAD that this highly toxic extremely expensive energy should even be considered! But with the PM's BROTHER being the one getting the big bucks.. Oh well TYPICAL! They all have their noses firmly in the trough & using family as a 'front' for their greed is an old trick. But to dress it up as concern for climate change. Its sickening!

    Its about nuclear weapons! AGAIN!!

Trident is coming to the end of its shelf life!

  • Well firstly oil isn't running out there's still plenty of it Britain is putting claims on 60bn barrels worth which lies under the south Atlantic. Wind energy wont work because A no wind no power B people complain because there an eyesore. Nuclear is the way to go because there are alot more safer ways of getting rid of waste being developed.

  • @MilitaryGiant

the only oil is running out,is the that green peace has not lobbied to be denied to drill for.

  • "Goverments dont know how to deal with waste"

    That statement is a lie.

  • ! msg me on M.S.N. nfo is in my profile!!

im sad. some1 msg me on M.S.N. HR

  • England could say "NO" to nuclear energy and KEEP BUYING nuclear energy from the French who produce 80% of their electrical energy from nuclear power and sell it to the rest of Europe. Also, England could INCREASE their oil imports from the lovely Middle East. Make the French and Arabs richer. "Ostrich Head in the Sand Syndrome," have you heard of it?

  • Peak Uranium is a non-issue.

First, the price of Uranium is MINUSCULE in the total cost of the electricity produced.

There also exists large, untapped reservoirs of Uranium. The cause of the lapse of Uranium production is more a consequence of the market being flooded by cheap, decommissioned Nuclear Warheads rather than a real lack of Uranium.

  • there is no way to produce electricity without releasing some harm into the environment. there isn't enough wind farms to create enough electricity to meet the U.k's demand of electricity.Nuclear power waste is stored safely and monitered correctly. don't worry!

  • England has no uranium at all. They will have to import all of it. Peak uranium is not far off. They will have to buy uranium from uranium producing countries that will be able to ask top price for the resource. Uranium has gone up 1500% already in the last four years.

  • so whats your useful solution

i thought you greenpeace muppets were more into saving the the world, than saving money, and don,t dare start talkin wind farms, because if the wind dont blow the country won,t go.when oh when are you going to get real.

  • Can you hold off with the name calling long enough that we can have a rational discussion? Your hostility does not buy you any credibility.

So the useful solution is to use wind electricity from geographically diverse wind farms. Just because the wind sometimes stops blowing at one location does not mean the wind stops blowing everywhere. England has the most wind in Europe. Get real like Spain does. They get more than 40% of their electricity from wind. Renewables do work.

  • well i checked you spanish figures, and you are overstating your case, spain only manages an average of 10% wing power, the best it managed was 32% on one very windy day,so this does little for your credibility.and only reinforces my point that you have no wind you have no power,so even if you managed 100% on a windy day,you still need a secondry system to supply 100% on a carm day, and what will that system be if we cannot use fossel fuels. then nuclear is the only real option.why build 2 systems.

  • Perhaps you found an old article or something and maybe he misquoted just a bit. Today more electricity is generated in Spain by wind power than any other source. Wind power provides 27% of the nation's electric supply. Recently Spain broke a record of 40.8% of electricity from wind. Why don't you Google it for yourself.

Just because the wind sometimes stops blowing at one location does not mean the wind stops blowing everywhere in a country as large as Spain. You don't need nukes

  • it,s about time we told greenpeace to shut the fuck up!they have become the biggest danger to the enviroment, because they simply refuse to adopt any useful and practical soultions to the problem of global warming(if it is a problem)the uk should follow france,s lead and build 50 nuclear plants, and start to make a differance.

  • Germany sux ass

  • STFU, Nuclear power is a fix right now. Wind, Solar, and Tidal are years even decades from being able to generate the same amount of power as coal or oil. One could use solar, but it would take covering an area the size of a medium sized city with collectors to be worth while. We need nuclear to buy time for new exotics to be practical.

  • anyone see the dude at :58 laughing his ass off? he is like near the end of the bench left to the lady..

nuclear power. coming soon to a country near you!! hopefully soon to america. i know nukes are bad generally speaking, but the stuff is awesome.

  • Well, their leader does not get on the podium and say how other countries will be wiped off the map.

  • France gets 80% (eighty percent!) of its energy from nuclear and RECYCLES the waste into more nuclear power. If the French can do it, I'm certain the Brits and Americans can too.

  • hah theyd never copy the French..stuck up bastards..

  • saadk88 fu2

  • viva le Francais!

  • global warming...lol i dont think we have to worrie about that issue...By the time bush leave office ww3 will be started.

  • nuclear energy is better then oil at any rate. but then again, any of you ever see "the china syndrome"?

  • They are a nuclear power already. They haven't attacked any of their neighbors for more than a hundred years. I think the Chinese can rest assured that they won't go in some crazy jihad killing half of humanity. The question is how will China place those interceptors? They own the US, but not Europe, yet.

  • They did attack Iraq and Afghanistan though. Without ever being attacked by either of them. (The 7/7 bombing occurred AFTER these two wars.)

  • They basically followed the Americans. They couldn't let them keep all that oil and natural gas to themselves. Nonetheless, for the most part they have been a responsible global partner since the fall of the British Empire.

  • the british governemnt is the lap dog of their imperialist successor (US) and contributing to stirring up hatred and conflict is hardly responsible foreign policy, especially in this age where ultimate destruction can come so easily

  • the wild aggression caused by rogue states, like imperial britain and the current US, have always been the main threat to global achievement and cooperation. these self-proclaimed "global masters" have decided that it is their right to drive history right off a cliff under their imagined right to rule the world.

  • these global tyrants are even as pompous, and seemingly ignorant, to come up with insulting baseless allegation that they are spreading "civilization" or "democracy" to the savages by killing them and taking their livelihoods by force. the belief in these ridiculous things are often fanatical and it takes alot of self-delusion to actually believe these perverted doctrines.

  • US and England have a contract that they will unconditionally give military aid to one another.

  • yes stored the old oil drums you dumped in the seas , but its not atmosphere , how money dumb

    can people be ,

  • its the only thing you prick have put any worth while money in to ,,

  • Thank you for this well-reported information.
