Thanks for that. My moms trying let me stay here even if I get a scholarship. If I get a scholarship [Bright Futures Gold Seal Vocational] about how much do they cover? And with it, and the cost of University tuition and cost of the cheapest dorm I can have as a freshman, whould I be alright, or will money be coming out of pocket fot just those 2 listed. [that exclude personal needs].
@niekalee305 I wouldn't know how much Bright Futures covers because I didn't go to high school in Florida, so I didn't qualify for it (I pay in-state tuition though because we moved to Florida). My money came ALLLLL out of pocket and through loans. It all depends on how much your scholarships are. Sometimes even the largest scholarships don't cover everything.
@niekalee305 For the summer at FSU, you're REQUIRED to stay in suite-styles dorms. You're not allowed to stay in the cheap community-style dorms; it's not allowed. No scholarship for me. Own money. :( Right now I'm staying in a community style though (cheapest dorm on campus) since it's the fall and the cheap dorms have opened up.
My roommate was nice. Usually if you don't get along with your roommate you try to work it out. If it's extreme they may CONSIDER letting you move but it's not likely,
