A very nostalgic video for me - my very last service journey at the end of a 44 year career "on the buses" was the 2125 from Sherburn in Elmet to Pontefract on Friday May 11th 2001 - the bus ?? - Dennis Dart 183 from the same batch. Since Pontefract closed 183 has been allocated all over "Arriva Yorkshire" and is now, I believe, at Belle Isle.
I liked these vehicles very much and they were very civilised but, as an avid enthusiast, I always preferred a clutch and live gearbox myself.

This is a 6 cylinder Dart, isn't it? I have driven Darts, and in my opinion the newer 4-Cylinder Cummins engined Darts are better than these, although a good 6 can be quite rapid for a bus!
Buzzer was introduced around 1999/2000 on Dennis trucks. Law dictates that you must have a warning light AND be able to hear the relay tick on vehicles built after a certain date. If the relay can't be heard then another warning device needs to be fitted. That's why a lot of new cars have a very loud ticker for the indicators too.
horrible buses to drive, dont always want to change gear, and most are gutless anyway.

Nice Dart vid! I see the centre of the Steering wheel is missing the 'Dennis' logo - i've seen this on a few in my town too!

One thing I've never understood:
Dennis trucks indicator stalk on left,
Dennis buses, indicator stalk on right.
WHY?
They both have the annoying buzzer though!
