  • i love your shoes

  • 1:47 and the gazelle runs ROIGHT in front of the camera!

  • This video is good stuff...but...what about the Vibrams? I thought the human walked and ran for 1000s of years on their feet...meaning no shoes. Any cushion is like using a crutch for your muscles. (not to mention, not the most attractive shoes...the Vibrams are more hideous). I know injury and human foot hurting surfaces are everywhere but...the couch cushions on people's feet are laughable. The only reason for these is because for let's say 40 years people have been walking and running wron

  • WALKING AND RUNNING ARE NOT THE SAME TECHNIQUE....THERE USING DIFFERENT TECHNIQUES EACH OTHER....

  • If you try to force this technique it will put unnecessary strain on your lower legs which could lead to injury. Forefoot running will come naturally when you run faster. I have heard that a mid-foot strike is the most efficient.

  • 1:52 Did he just flip us off?

  • @AwayFromKeyBoardGame I think he did lol

  • That sprint is so slow, I can only run 100m in 15 secs but I think I could take him:)

  • @ojcoops That is nothing to brag about.

  • @ojcoops He did the sprint slow to show the movement.

  • guilty of plagiarism ....... newton running ...or prose?? ill post a fid and call foul tief tech

  • should have trucked, not panned

  • Great reference for animation. Thanks!

  • Yes we all know that that is good sprinting technique

  • Looks like he's trying to simulate sprinting in slow motion...

  • That's not a sprint, that's a prance.

  • seems about right. good advice.

  • try this. Walk for half a mile striking your heel hard on the dirt or concrete, feeling the power of your strike, right leg first then left, then do sprints for about 50 meters, then do a jog like this guy is doing.

  • What's the best style to escape from the cops?

  • @agentxyz hahaha pmsl

  • You don't need special shoes to run on your forefeet....you can do it with any shoe! Even ones with big heels.

  • "lean from your waist"?

  • lol shoes xd

  • @DowntownRiot84 i agree

  • never heard of newtons

  • just run barefoot or use fivefingers

  • @ruburtoe1 have you tried the luna sandals?

  • @ruburtoe1 i just ordered some! i'm so excited!

  • Do the shoes you have really give the right support that your foot needs, or do they just look cool. There are 3 types of feet and 3 types of shoes, to find out which one you are download this application of iTunes called, 'WET TEST'

  • that sprint was more like a triple jump lol.

  • I love Newtons. I just wish I could afford another pair. Newton makes a great product. The big question is, how fast do I have to get to be sponsored?

  • the legging doesnt suit you

u r too old for that

  • i hate alll these posts about sponsor/endorsement crap... let the guy sell his fuckin' shoe and make some damn money =\

  • wtf you people are commenting about sprinting? there is no sprinting in this clip, the shoe is not for sprinting, and nothing in this clip has anything to do with sprinting! Are you f retarded???

  • you can run on your forefoot with any shoe...another gimmicky product

  • I would bet money that my bad-formed sprint is way faster that your goofy natural-form sprint.

  • At the end of the day everyone just needs to realize nobody is exactly the same. Some people say this shoe is amazing and others say it is the worse shoe they have tried. Ultra marathon runner dean karnazes runs with a heel strike, and this guy runs 100mile races annually and suffers no injuries (hugely due to the fact he cross trains alot) other than the occasional cramp. Im a forefoot striker so I think im going to try these shoes out since every other shoe I try gives me shin splints.

  • @b1l2u3n4t5 don't understand why they are SOOO expensive though, think they are just trying to lure in people who think that something that costs more = better. I heard the treads on these wear out pretty quickly.

  • @MrKicks2010 I ended up trying the saucony kinvara shoes. I did some research and found out that they are similar to the newton in that they both help with forefoot striking. since i bought them i havent had any problems with shin splints. The saucony kinvara shoes cost me $90 and the treads only last about 250-300 miles as oppose to the regular 500 miles heel striking shoes seem to last. but yea, these shoes are ridiculously expensive, can't believe I was thinking of buying them.

  • i guess i sprint wrong cause i dont look like that when i sprint

  • they really need to change the colors

  • Think what you want about the looks and/or cost. These shoes work!! The technique/shoe combination solved all my shin problems I've had for the last 6 years. Thank you Newton!!!!

  • i would get the shoes, but they are way too ugly,

  • Great Vid, but WOW those first shoes are ugly!

  • very very good

  • looks like spider man lent this guy his clothes

  • That was one crazy looking sprint...

  • @sonic16913 You don't sprint like that? ;-)

  • im sorry but, this guy looks so gay its hard to take this video seriously.

  • What's with those tight pants?

  • @marbdy I think they use those so the muscle won't accumulate strain and have more muscle recovery thingy...idk, I read it with some book.

  • Man, I'm getting worn out with the false/fallacious reasoning in about 99% of the biomechanical "analyses" out there. Few areas of science are more full of snakeoil and nonsense observation as running biomechanics.

I'm weary of these, and nearly all, videos on the matter. The conversation is lay, ascientific, and truly lacking in observable and repeatable science.

  • World class sprinters do not use their toes to run. They keep their ankle dorsi-flexed and land on the mid-sole or ball of their foot. This is for the same benefits as he has mentioned.

  • Gnarly Gear.

  • nice out fit lmao

  • Thank you for the tutorial! great information

  • i priced a pair of newton's at 160 HAS ANYONE SEEN THE VIVO BAREFOOT EVO"S??

  • Vibram Five fingers rules

  • how's this different from POSE or Chi Running?

  • @furlaub2002 POSE / Chi (and i'd add Vibram FF running) are different in the sense that they are superior to this and dont require you to buy newtons specifically to run the newton way

  • How much are newtons?

  • Tutorial is pretty good, but all this corporate sponsor/endorsement crap takes the joy out of it. You don't really need any Newtons to run. No shoes at all would do the trick as well.

  • @oldpiq

no shoes at all would be even better

  • land, lever, lift is what we should be doing when we're running any distance and at any speed. If you watch the slow motion of elite runners, you'll see it. Foot contacts ground, weight moves over it and then foot springs off. Any attempt to push, pull, claw/paw back is a complete waste of time and energy, and increase in injury-risk is silly high

  • Great technique but what's with the style of those shoes? They look like crocs o_0

  • I hope this improves health!

  • I want a pair, but they're sooo expensive

  • agree, on both points...

  • I've had some, but they hurt my feet. now I want a pair of the new Guidance trainers.

  • Excellent demo & explanation. Newton's rule the school!
