  • Great instruction! Your flying is very good too. Can we get you a videoperson to work the camera? I like the cute 16-yeart-old chicks that want to be on youtube; they tend to be great with video. :))

Great job! Get a videographer and you'll be terrific!

  • you shouldn't taxi so fast. if you get any gust of wind you could flip it pretty easy. also to takeoff into wind just taki to where you want to take off and kill the motor, or idle if its an engine, it'll weathercock on its own, let it turn and pour the coal on. and try to keep it straight with rudder taking off and landing

  • very intresting video ;)

  • it said this video has been removed by user

  • @conner25100 still says that?

  • @earthling1984 no it fixed itself

  • why did u remove this?

  • @conner25100 remove what?

  • Hey guys I'm a beginner and I'm interested in this plane but is there any other plane people would recommend?

  • @museruls I've got many Planes and for a beginner i would recommend The Super Cub

That was my first airplane:D And the best with Battery

  • made an emergency landing with my parkzone F4F (no gear, floats, etc) in a pond. (only soft-ish place when you have aileron wire come loose =) ) if you dry out the plane properly, the electronics will be fine, just flew it today with no problems. Great vid. gonna buy super cub for my camera duties now =)

  • Nice instructional video..good filming as well. Ive had my SuperCub for just over a year, and have been on the floats for a few flights now. All you say is true, along with keeep up elevator on taxiing and take off..keep her nose up upon landing.....I also, after putting in the battery and turning on the TX, put simple packing tape inside the battery box and also after closing the lid on the outside, to prevent water from coming in..either way, the Cub looks great on floats. Cheers.

  • Hey i have wilga 2000 with floats and wills I would say get one look up on YouTube

  • Can this land on grass or anything

  • @gunexspert1234 yes u could land it on grass with the floats.

  • I know it land on water but can it land on the ground(grass or congret anything)

  • Have you been satisfied with the DX6i... are you still using it?

  • @isak885 yes, the DX6i is a wonderful transmitter. I never had any problems with it, and it offers all the settings most pilots will want/need. I do still use it, but it is now my buddy box/backup transmitter. I currently use a DX8.

  • @ 1:32 BAM

  • good vid btu you need a camera man dude lol

  • good video men

  • It's too far to see, how about an on-board camera?

  • nice video thanks for posting it

  • @BigSips thanks :)

  • What plane do you fly?

  • mount a RC torpedo(it exist) between the floats and fly very close to water and drop it into water!! :D

  • your a rockstar and cool

  • you should do this with a oboard am :)

  • it is important to land not with slow speed-looks more scale

  • well executed

  • giant fish jumps out of the water and your plane catches it and flys off with it

  • ware did you git that im a stater

  • @bud3253 horizon hobby website or local hobby shop.

  • i gotta a feeling i will land in the water wrong what damage does that cause? i would like to order the parts with it just in case! i am finally getting a good airplane because i am fed up with dumb air hogs!!!

  • @cresentclaw23 so far I've had no damage, and I've even tipped over in the water about 3 times so far. The motor was about all to get wet, and it kept working just fine. I would recommend starting on land though, and using landing gear. Many hobby shops carry the parts, or can get them in within a day or two, so that is an easy to way get the parts you need, when you need them, instead of ordering more than you need and wasting money if you never use them.

  • very nice video A+

  • @CAMECProductions Thanks!

  • I have something to say when I first started with the super cub lp I was flying really low thinking if it crashed it wasnt that bad but if your just beginning start really high three mistakes high is what i use (tht means you have time to corect three mistakes before it crashes) and another tip a way to check if the batery is dying push it to full throttle cause when the bateryis dying it the prob will shut off at full throttle to get it back push it back to nothing then up again to the middle.

  • @triplex3399 thanks for the comment, and your tip is very true. A beginner should fly high enough that he can correct any mistakes. Even a crash from a low altitude can cause some major damage. It is best to stay high so you don't crash.

  • That's great, I've gotta buy float kit for my Super Cub Lp. What part of the country are you in?

  • i pluged the charger cord on the battery into the export outlet on the plane

  • @jeremy878785 oo, don't do that! I hope it is ok, did it short anything out? You use the Blue plug(EC3) for connection to your plane. The other plug is the balance lead and used for charging only.

  • i have that plane got it today and pluged up white end to outlet waitin for parts to come :( didnt even get 2 fly

  • @jeremy878785 what do you mean 'pluged up white end to outlet'?

  • @N4768Z Thanks! And you will have great fun on floats! Even on super calm days, I find myself staying home insead of going to the flying field, because float flying is just so much fun! And spectators are usually very intersted, which makes for fun conversations with people who stop by while I'm flying.

  • i actually want to buy the float kit for my bushes landing lol.

  • "he" = my friend

  • I found out something really cool about this plane! Somehow Hobbyzone made the fuselage semi waterproof along with the motor. I know this because he tried to take off on water perpendicular to the wind and, needless to say, it flipped. The motor was completely submerged :p, we pulled it out and the motor was still in perfect working order. So we took a closer look at the fuselage and there is an almost unnoticeable line of sealant along the seam.

  • @1994Juggernaut Yes, I mentioned this in my comments as well earlier. I too have fliped mine a couple times, and the motor has completely submerged, but it still works :)

  • For some reason the Blade MCX 5 in 1 died today. Should I buy the receiver for 60 or just buy a new mcx for 90?

  • @1994Juggernaut I had my mSR RX die too. It depends what you want to do. If you buy a whole new kit, you have many extra parts for $30 more. If it were me, I'd probably just buy the kit again so I have those extra parts.

  • Will do. Thanks!

  • Horizon are pretty good, might be able to send them a nice email and they may well replace the board, don't slag em off though!

  • @1994Juggernaut i think i would return it if its somewhat new or not your fault send it back to e-flite

  • Thanks for the advice, I decided to try and get Horizon to honor the warranty. I know it wasn't crash damage because it happened in between flights. I was testing the servos right before a flight and it was fine. Then the LED flashed and I changed the battery, when I tried to test the servos again after changing the battery they locked up and so did the motors.

  • Dude sweet video, You got any Like recomendations on a good starter plane?

i really love them i got like 200 bucks got any thing good to start on?

  • @Nebraskafootballsue Thanks. Well, this plane is great for a beginner, the Super Cub LP. Just don't fly off water until you can fly off land. Or you could try a micro like the Park Zone Ember2 or Vapor. They are micro slow fliers that will help you learn to fly, but they are slow, and you might get bored quick, I'd say go with the cub!

  • @earthling1984, ight kool, I'll look around and ill be watching your videos:)

  • Right on!

  • great video, had lots of good information in in. Great flying, i didn't know you could use a DX6i with the super cup LP. anyway Good job!

  • @ramis182 Thanks much! Yea the Super Cub LP RTF comes with a 27MHz TX/RX, but the Super Cup LP BNF comes with a spektrum RX and you use your own TX :)

  • When u land is it better to land towards the wind or land with the wind?

  • always take off and land INTO the wind. So NOT with the wind. If the wind is going left, you want to be going right.

  • into the wind so you can slow down and gently glide down...i think he mentions that in the video.

  • I figured that I should get the highest quality transmitter I could afford, that way wouldn't have to upgrade later on.

  • @1994Juggernaut Yeah! You made a good choice :)

  • What I noticed compared to my friends

DX6i is that the Dx7 has a much longer battery life. Any comments because I don't know why.

  • @1994Juggernaut not sure, are the exact same batteries being used in both transmitters? Perhaps there is a difference in batteries, but perhaps not. Not really sure as I don't have the DX7 yet I haven't really tested it :(

  • What type of battery does the DX6i use? The DX7 uses a 9.6 volt 1500Mah Nickel Metal Hydride battery.

  • @1994Juggernaut I'm using AA in my DX6i. They are rechargeable, but they are AA's.

  • That might be why. Have you timed your controllers flight time?

  • @1994Juggernaut Not really. I can say that I flew about 20 flights since recharging and my battery is still showing 5.5v. All flights were 6 to 10 minutes(and usually TX was on longer - during short walk to field/pond). So it lasts plenty long. It would be almost impossible to run it down in a single day.

  • @earthling1984 although I am currently using Duracell instead of the rechargeables, and they started new up around 5.9v. I usually do use the rechargeables that came with the transmitter, however, they were dead one and and I wanted to fly, so I put in the Duracells(a few weeks ago). So they have got MANY flights without a rechage/battery change.

  • I've been using mine almost non stop since about 8 today and it is still at 9.9 volts.

  • So like an idiot I tried to fly my Ember 2 in a little bit of wind (about 3mph) and crashed into a wall :p. Unfortunately that somehow cracked the elevator right down the middle. Luckily I had previously watched your Ember 2/Sukhoi vid and was able to repair it. So thanks for all the vids and maybe you could post more Ember flight vids? 5 stars!

  • @1994Juggernaut Hey. Doh, sorry you crashed! Luckily a little break in the foam is usually fixable by tape or foam safe CA. So glad you were able to repair it! As for ember flight videos, yes, I plan to get Cassie to start learning planes and the Ember will be her first one to try. We will do a recording and flight on it :)

  • Thats exactly how I repaired it, I used the "ultra clear" Scotch tape. I look forward to the flight vids.

P.S. If you don't mind telling me are you and Cassie married or are you just engaged?

  • @1994Juggernaut Engaged; getting married July 10th

  • Congratulations! You're a lucky man.

  • @1994Juggernaut Thank you! :)

  • So do you think it was a good idea that I started out with a DX7?

  • @1994Juggernaut YES. I need one myself!!!! lol. The DX7 has a 20 model memory and also a lot more programming options(which you won't notice yet, but later once you advance you will love!). I got the DX6i to start... wish I had got the DX7 because I now have over 10 planes/helicopters... I am going to be buying a DX7 to use for my planes, and keep my helicopters on my DX6i :)

  • Man you are really a fan of RC planes aren't you lol.

  • Yeah :p I got into helicopters a while ago(before planes) and I got hooked ;p
