I have been playing the piano since I was 5. It dosent seem like this guy is using any notes, he seems to be jamming. The trills and arpegios that he is using makes me near certian that he is also clasically trained. You can not learn this stuff on your own, and the ease which he flows through the compund chords is really really impressive, I have seen Martin play the video game music and he does do it quite well, but I have yet to see him play anything with this level of difficulty.

Im also a pianist/keyboard player for the last 7-8 years. Martin wins however his like two different people, when you hear him play game related songs and compare it against his non-game related solo's he has many mistakes and fails to show the same competence as he shows when playing his video-game songs. For me hes only special because of the video game songs, when he plays other songs hes JUST an avarage/advanced music univeristy student.

Martin doesn't JUST play video game music, the only reason why you only really see him performing it is because the audience loves it. But on his actual YouTube channel he DOES perform classical songs. He's classically trained.

i have been playing the piano for seven years. I can tell you that this guy is really really good. He is playing songs like fur elise with such ease and breezing right through them. This guy is one of the best piano players i have seen in recent times. As for playing blindfolded any good piano player will tell you that your eyes have nothing to do with playing. Therefore playing the piano blindfolded is like getting your legs shackled (makes no difference)

Obviously, one cant compare two great pianists, unless they are competing at the same level and the judge must have great knowledge!!!You cant judge by heart or whom you like to be fair to the pianists. The way you judge a pianist is by timimg, execution and mistakes he might make along the way, this is only if you know the piece he is playing, otherwise how would you know he made a mistake...?

why do you think? he plays realy different i let my teacher hear martin leung he saids martin is bad he dont really play with feelings i mean i have 8 year piano lessons and i can play all of his songs :) if he can play liszt or make an improvisation on a mario theme or transcrition then we talk:)

Put a video of u doin whole the mario theme (over 10 minutes) without notes and blindfolded start. i dont think u can make i even close as good as he does it. Btw i dont think ur piano teacher knows what feelings.

i dont know which video you look at but in both video's i used very difficult technices wich i leared from the famous pianist Wibi Soerjadi and i asked him and he dont like martin at all he dont play with passion and mario you can learn it after 4 years i think.

You are good but if u look at some works from Martin Leuge you will see he is more technical. And you cant say that Martin dont got feeling with loz, castelvania and the clasics works.. Btw I play a little piano, played for 6 years im not as good as you but I know a little about piano and composing. So I still want to say I think he is better. Much better
