no offense to the people who create songs in fl studio and call them selves DJs but you arent DJs because DJ stands for Disk Jocky and to be a DJ you need to use TurnTables in real life not a program to make music but some people (like me) might use music studios and turntables to be DJs. but u cant be a DJ just by creating music on a computer. to be a dj u need to be like DJ Tiesto who use turntables. but still i dont really care do what ever makes you happy.

FL's okay for producing, personally i preffer/use Traktor Pro and Reason 4.

FL's too easy to master.

if you want to make hardstyle, do not use nexus! it is a rom vst, you can not even change a oscillator and it takes a full ten GB if you want the whole program, plus it is very CPU intensive! use pro-53, junglist, zeta+, microtonic, sylenth 1 and genesis instead. it is so much better then nexus! believe me I have the full version of nexus and it's really not worth getting and it is a lousy vst to make hardstyle with!

a good trick for fading is, go onto the piano roll... right click [bottom right] of the piano roll.. you have a load of options for fading, panning etc. any melody you want... gives you some pretty proffesional sounding effects :)
