Here the fragments are just about holding together, although the cement that binds them is an unreliable mixture of propaganda and myth. Hello there!
Google "Macedonia evidence" and see the list of 340 (200 at the begining+140 after) Classical Scholars (Historians, Archaeologists) from ALL OVER THE WORLD that co-signed and support the letter sent to President Barack Obama for the TRUTH ABOUT MACEDONIA, dismissing FYROMs claims on Macedonia.
Hey, FYROMians (=fake Macedonians), copy and Google this:
"Letter to President Barack Obama", Macedonia international scholars
And see what more than 250 INTERNATIONAL scholars have to say. Then think and try to learn, if there is some part of your brain not damaged from the heavy propaganda that your governments feed you in order to distract you from your real problems, meaning prostitution and alcoholism... And remember,
Hey, FYROMians, do you want to become REAL Macedonians? Here is how:
1.
Stephen G. Miller, Professor Emeritus, University of California, Berkeley:
"Allow me to end this exegesis by making a suggestion to resolve the question of the modern use of the name "Macedonia". Greece should annex Paionia (FYROM), that is what Philip II did in 359 B.C."...
..."And that would appear to be acceptable to the modern residents of that area (FYROM) since they claim to be Greek by appropriating the name Macedonia and its most famous man. Then the modern people of this new Greek province could work on learning to speak and read and write Greek, hopefully even as well as Alexander did."

Alexander the Great, king of Macedon, 356 BCE - 323 BCE:
"Your ancestors came to Macedonia and the rest of Greece and did us great harm, though we had done them no prior injury. I have been appointed leader of the Greeks, and wanting to punish the Persians I have come to Asia, which I took from you..."

Learn first after write stupid things. Macedonia were never Greek.Alexander The Macedonian is Macedonian. You greek people are to stupid and dont accept that. Macedonia was the greater country in antic history and greek was nothing. Aristotel is Macedonian he learn you some things now you think that you are smart. Hey learn your history
Krste Misirkov, philologist and publicist, one of the founders of the "Macedonian" nation, considered a national hero in FYROM:
"We are more Bulgarian than those in Bulgaria."
"We speak a Bulgarian language".
"And, anyway, what sort of new Macedonian nation can this be when we and our fathers and grandfathers and great-grandfathers have always been called Bulgarians?"
"The Macedonian kings, who maintained that their Greek ancestry traced back to Zeus, had long given homes and patronage to Greece's most distinguished artists." (Alexander the Great", p.48)
"We are not related to the northern Greeks who produced leaders like Philip and Alexander the Great. We are a Slav people and our language is closely related to Bulgarian There is some confusion about the identity of the people of my country." (Ottawa Citizen, 24 February 1999)
"We are Slavs who came to this area in the sixth century ... we are not descendants of the ancient Macedonians!" (Foreign Information Service Daily Report, Eastern Europe, February 26, 1992, p. 35)
"We are Slav Macedonians. That's who we are! We have no connection to Alexander the Greek and his Macedonia! Our ancestors came here in the 5th and 6th century AD."
"The idea that Alexander the Great belong to us, was at the mind of some outsider political groups only! These groups were insignificant the first years of our independence but the big problem is that the old Balkan Nations have been learned to legitimate themselves through their history."...
"In Balkans, if you want to be recognised as a Nation, you need to have history of 3000 years old. So since you made us to invent a history, we invent it! [...] You forced us to the arms of the extreme nationalists who today claim that we are direct descendents of Alexander the Great!"
(In an interview for Greek TV channel Mega, November 2006)
Read below and for your own good try to learn, FYROMian friends! Dont be like those sad FYROMians who swear again and again, because that's the only thing they can do best...
Wow! Strong argument, FYROMian! Or, shall I say, "pseudomacedonian"? "Albomacedonian"? "Macalbanian"? Or perhaps "I wanna be real Macedonian, therefore Greek, but I can't, because I know I am, and always be, from Bulgarian origin, that's why I speak a SERBIANIZED BULGARIAN language"? Oh, well, you choose... ;)
trouble is you lost the argument so long ago that you have your excuses Numbered.
now go look up your good king Otto I of germany. then go read up on slavs and albanians being sttled throughout greece from 400ad until the 19thcenturyad. then go look up pontusian refugees. the bulgars are from the black sea just like your pontusians they too speak Koine Macedonian.
Do they have a word for this nationalised denial your in our small pee peed pontusian parrot pretender?
Good, since you like to dig back in history, here, take a look:
Alexander I of Macedon, king of Macedon from 498 BCE to 454 BCE:
"Men of Athens... In truth I would not tell it to you if I did not care so much for all Greece; I myself am by ancient descent a Greek, and I would not willingly see Greece change her freedom for slavery."
(From the speech of Alexander I of Macedon when he was admitted to the Olympic games, Herodotus, "Histories", 9.45)
now go do some soul serching you little twit. you talking in circles is the tactics of a loser.
you have no connection with modern macedonia let alone the the ancients . I would give you another history lesson gut it is like talking to a child. youll just start chanting the same thing over and over then youll have a little tantrum and say youre not going to talk to me again just so you can start talking to me again .
Lol, again you got no argumesnts, so you just open your mouth and spit shit, asyou FYROMians usually do! Unlike you, I provide SOLID arguments from ANCIENT MACEDONIANS, from SCHOLARS, and even from your OWN PEOPLE about the TRUTH!
Alexander the Great, king of Macedon, 356 BCE - 323 BCE:
"There are Greek troops, to be sure, in Persian service — but how different is their cause from ours! They will be fighting for pay — and not much of at that; we, on the contrary, shall fight for Greece, and our hearts will be in it."
(Addressing his troops prior to the Battle of Issus, as quoted in Anabasis Alexandri by Roman historian Arrian, Book II, 7)
Alexander the Great, king of Macedon, 356 BCE - 323 BCE:
"Now you fear punishment and beg for your lives, so I will let you free, if not for any other reason so that you can see the difference between a Greek king and a barbarian tyrant."
(Kallisthenes, Historia Alexandri Magni, 1.37.9-13)
Alexander the Great, king of Macedon, 356 BCE - 323 BCE:
"Your ancestors came to Macedonia and the rest of Greece and did us great harm, though we had done them no prior injury. I have been appointed leader of the Greeks, and wanting to punish the Persians I have come to Asia, which I took from you..."

Eugene N. Borza, American historian, expert on Macedon:
"Modern Slavs, both Bulgarians and 'Macedonians', cannot establish a link with antiquity, as the Slavs entered the Balkans centuries after the demise of the ancient Macedonian kingdom. Only the most radical Slavic factions—mostly émigrés in the United States, Canada, and Australia—even attempt to establish a connection to antiquity."
"The twentieth-century development of a "Macedonian" ethnicity, and its recent evolution into independent statehood following the collapse of the Yugoslav state in 1991, has followed a rocky road. In order to survive the vicissitudes of Balkan history and politics, the "Macedonians", who have had no history, need one."
"They reside in a territory once part of a famous ancient kingdom, which has borne the Macedonian name as a region ever since and was called "Macedonia" for nearly half a century as part of Yugoslavia. And they speak a language now recognized by most linguists outside Bulgaria, Serbia, and Greece as a south Slavic language separate from Slovenian, Serbo-Croatian, and Bulgarian."
"Their own so-called "Macedonian" ethnicity had evolved for more than a century, and thus it seemed natural and appropriate for them to call the new nation "Macedonia" and to attempt to provide some cultural references to bolster ethnic survival. " ("Macedonia Redux", in "The Eye Expanded: life and the arts in Greco-Roman Antiquity", ed. Frances B Tichener & Richard F. Moorton, University of California Press, 1999)
Now you fear punishment and beg for your lives, so I will let you free, if not for any other reason so that you can see the difference between a Greek king and a barbarian tyrant, so do not expect to suffer any harm from me. A king does not kill messengers.
Ptolemy of Alexandria is an author of a great geographical work in which he produced maps of various ancient countries in Europe, Asia, and Africa. His map of Macedonia is clearly separated from Greece, Illyria, and Thrace. He also produced a map of Albania which in ancient times was in Asia, parallel to the map of Illyria in Europe, which makes it clear that the Albanians and the Illyrians had always been two separate nations.
Silly little FYROMians, heavy propaganda victims!! Stop denying your SLAVIC origin; instead learn to be proud of it and STOP CLAIMING THAT YOU ARE MACEDONIANS!!! You had enough brainwashing, time to face the truth!! You are SLAVS and you speak a SLAVIC LANGUAGE originated from BULGARIAN but SERBIANIZED, so you can't be Macedonians, since TRUE MACEDONIANS WERE AND ARE GREEK PEOPLE, speaking GREEK SINCE ANCIENT TIMES!!! They never forgot speaking & writing in their "supposed Macedonian" language, because simply such a language didnt exist & Greek was definitely their MOTHER TONGUE, because THEY WERE GREEKS AS THEY THEMSELVES ADMITTED !

Alexander the Great is amongst the first leaders who officially use the terms Hellas and Panhellenic League when he began his military campaign against the Persian rulers of the Greek city-states of Asia Minor (Ionia) to revenge their ancestors. Within the sphere of influence in the territories conquered by Alexander the Great and subsequently hellenized as well as in Hellenistic Judea a Greek was anyone who had a proper Greek education (i.e. culture).

. In between the Greeks fought many unsuccessful wars against the Macedonians to drive them out of Greece, among which the Lamian War is the most famous. It should be noted that the Lamian War was triggered by the death of Alexander the Great, which encouraged the Greeks to rebel
They were hated by the Greeks ever since Philip II defeated the Greeks at Chaeronea in 338 BC and brought Greece to its kneel, and the Greeks fought fiercely, first on the side of the Persians and later on the side of the Romans to expel the Macedonians from their country. Too late would they realize that the Macedonian occupation would only be replaced by the Roman.
Greece is one of the three countries that McDougall will visit this year. The other two where minority abuse is recorded are Ethiopia and Hungary.
the Ethiopian Majority in Greece self acclaimed as "Ancient Hellens" denies ANY other etchnicity than the "Ancient Hellen" to clear any doubt on how Ancient Hellens appeared all of a sudden!
The largest group, calling themselves Macedonians , are descendants of Slavic tribes that moved into the region between the 6th and 8th centuries ad. Their language is very closely related to Bulgarian and is written in the Cyrillic script.
In language, religion, and history, a case could be made for identifying Macedonian Slavs with Bulgarians and to a lesser extent with Serbs.

Slavic blood, Albanian heroes, Pontian Orthodox Turks, Latin speaking Vlach politicians, assimilated Macedonians and Albanians not to mention the dozen other ethnicities? Is any one truly Greek today?"
"Macedonian kings were proud of their Greek blood, and it was only jaundiced opponents like Demosthenes the Athenian who ventured to call them "barbarians." They claimed descent from Hêrakles through the Dorian Kings of Argos, and they learned the tales of Troy and of Odysseus, and the songs of the Greek lyric poets, as they learned their letters..."
(A. R. Burn, "Alexander the Great and the Hellenistic Empire")
"The Macedonians were Greeks. Their language was Greek, to judge by their personal names and by the names of the months of the calendar; Macedonian ambassadors could appear before the Athenian assembly without needing interpreters; in all Demosthenes' sneers about their civilization there is no hint that Macedonians spoke other than Greek."

Hi there. Just a small clarification, ok? Very nice voice, nice composition, but the lyrics... what can I say? I am Macedonian myself, but a real one, therefore Greek, not a Slav.
...I come from Macedonia, Greece, the birthplace of Alexander the Great, and I speak Greek, as he did. Please do not get me confused with Slav-"macedonians", who live in the Former Yugoslav Republic Of Macedonia (FYROM), which is a modern (since 1991) country in the north of Macedonia, Greece...
...The citizens of that country are mainly Slavs and Albanians (1/3 are Albanians) and they speak a Slavic language very close to Bulgarian, notice the cyrillic alphabet they use -as all Slavic people do- and the characteristic -ski ending on their surnames...
...They have been under heavy brainwashing, so they think that Macedonians were never Greeks (!), they never spoke Greek (!!), and even that ancient Macedonians, who flourished in the 4th and 3rd centuries BC are Slavs!!! Only Slavs occupied Balkans at the 6th century AD, hence 1000 years after!...
...It's just so unfair for us 2.500.000 real Macedonians, real Greeks, that 1.5000.000 "ethnic Macedonians" in FYROM, therefore Slavs, are trying to take over our name, our history, our identity. Please do contact me if you want to know more on the issue, for the sake of justice. Have a nice day and do keep playing music. :)
that was amazing i love your work where did you learn your chords and stuff did you take lessons cause you play like a pro and can you please cover sway by bic runga cause i know you could do wonders with that

"Macedonia was also an attempt at a multicultural society. Here the fragments are just about holding together, although the cement that binds themis an unreliable mixture of propaganda and myth. The Macedonian language has been created, some rather misty history involving Tsar Samuel, probably a Bulgarian, and Alexander the Great, almost certainly a Greek, has been invented, and the name Macedonia has been adopted." ...

Ptolemy of Alexandria
Ancient Geographer
Ptolemy of Alexandria is an author of a great geographical work in which he produced maps of various ancient countries in Europe, Asia, and Africa. His map of Macedonia is clearly separated from Greece, Illyria, and Thrace. He also produced a map of Albania which in ancient times was in Asia, parallel to the map of Illyria in Europe, which makes it clear that the Albanians and the Illyrians had always been two separate nations.

Macedonians as Greeks
named their people only in Greek
named their cities only in Greek
They wrote only in Greek
They were proud of their mothertongue Greek
They spread their mothertongue to all Empire
They always read & wrote only Greek, as the ancient findings show us.
They never forgot speaking & writing in their "supposed Macedonian" language, because simply such a language didnt exist & Greek was definitely their MOTHER TONGUE, because THEY WERE GREEKS AS THEY THEMSELVES ADMITTED !

(From the speech of Alexander I of Macedon when he was admitted to the Olympic games, an athletic event in which only men of Greek origin were allowed to participate. Herodotus, "Histories", 9.45)

Wake up FYROMians, fake Macedonians, poor people, heavy propaganda victims!! You had enough brainwashing, time to face the truth!! You are Slavs and speak a Slavic language very close to Bulgarian, so you can't be Macedonians, since true Macedonians were and are Greek people, speaking Greek since ancient times!!! Wake up, you are fooling yourselves and the world is laughing at you!!!

Macedonia was NEVER greek.. Alexander the great was Macedonian .. not greek.

Alexander the Great, king of Macedon, 356 BCE - 323 BCE:
"Your ancestors came to Macedonia and the rest of Greece and did us great harm, though we had done them no prior injury. I have been appointed leader of the Greeks, and wanting to punish the Persians I have come to Asia, which I took from you..." (Alexander's letter to Persian king Darius in response to a truce plea, as quoted in "Anabasis Alexandri" by Roman historian Arrian, Book II, 14, 4)

Alexander the Great, king of Macedon, 356 BCE - 323 BCE:
"Youths of the Pellaians and of the Macedonians and of the Greek Amphictiony and of the Lakedaimonians and of the Corinthians and of all the Greek peoples, join your fellow-soldiers and entrust yourselves to me, so that we can move against the barbarians and liberate ourselves from the Persian bondage, for as Greeks we should not be slaves to barbarians." (Kallisthenes, Historia Alexandri Magni, 1.15.1-4)

Alexander the Great, king of Macedon, 356 BCE - 323 BCE:
"Now you fear punishment and beg for your lives, so I will let you free, if not for any other reason so that you can see the difference between a Greek king and a barbarian tyrant." (Kallisthenes, Historia Alexandri Magni, 1.37.9-13)

Alexander the Great, king of Macedon, 356 BCE - 323 BCE:
"There are Greek troops, to be sure, in Persian service — but how different is their cause from ours! They will be fighting for pay — and not much of at that; we, on the contrary, shall fight for Greece, and our hearts will be in it." (Addressing his troops prior to the Battle of Issus, as quoted in Anabasis Alexandri by Roman historian Arrian, Book II, 7)

Macedonia was NEVER greek

Hi there. Just a small clarification, ok? Very nice voice, nice composition, but the lyrics... what can I say? I am Macedonian myself, but a real one, therefore Greek, not a Slav.
Macedonia1913 3 years ago
...I come from Macedonia, Greece, the birthplace of Alexander the Great, and I speak Greek, as he did. Please do not get me confused with Slav-"macedonians", who live in the Former Yugoslav Republic Of Macedonia (FYROM), which is a modern (since 1991) country in the north of Macedonia, Greece...
Macedonia1913 3 years ago
...The citizens of that country are mainly Slavs and Albanians (1/3 are Albanians) and they speak a Slavic language very close to Bulgarian, notice the cyrillic alphabet they use -as all Slavic people do- and the characteristic -ski ending on their surnames...
Macedonia1913 3 years ago
...They have been under heavy brainwashing, so they think that Macedonians were never Greeks (!), they never spoke Greek (!!), and even that ancient Macedonians, who flourished in the 4th and 3rd centuries BC are Slavs!!! Only Slavs occupied Balkans at the 6th century AD, hence 1000 years after!...
Macedonia1913 3 years ago
...It's just so unfair for us 2.500.000 real Macedonians, real Greeks, that 1.5000.000 "ethnic Macedonians" in FYROM, therefore Slavs, are trying to take over our name, our history, our identity. Please do contact me if you want to know more on the issue, for the sake of justice. Have a nice day and do keep playing music. :)
