@strassj The engines are started only for the sound to hear and to keep them in good condition. The aircraft does not fly (unfortunately). Hope is it may fly again in future for air shows, without passengers. This is not permitted.
The Turbo Compound R3350 was not actually introduced until the L1049C Constellation. The L049. L649 and L749 and L1049 had the R-3350-749C18BD engines with 2,500 hp on 108/136 PN AVGAS. The L1049C had the R-3350-87ТС18DA-1 engines with 3,250 hp. The final L1049G, Super G's had the R-3350-972ТС18DA-3 engines with same horsepower. The L1648A had the R-3350-988TC18EA12 Turbo Compound Duplex Cyclone engines with 3,400 hp on 115/145 PN AVGAS. Current AVGAS is rated at 100 PN.

any gasoline engine we have today.
