nope sorry. Some cruel guy in SL named Abramns or something animation totally ripped off my idea though. Of course he steals everything. I'm trying to work with Epic games(texture theft) and New Line(use of copyrighted characters/sounds) to stop that guy.

Second Life. I don't recommend even trying it if you haven't played it, which it sounds like you haven't. It's not very good. People make=steal stuff from say fps games or Star Wars and sell at as their own. Then When someone steals their stuff (that they stole) they put up IP posters and preach. It's a crazy fantasy world of big egos and little talent. There's a few cool people & talented too, but it's not worth the headache to do the "quests" to discover them.

Yeah, that's the game. They should have done it in a real game engine though with professionals. SL is really horrible for gun combat, but guns make for good lawsuits =) I think most people play SL because they suck at normal pc games, don't have a high end rig to run a real game, or just like the sex animations in SL. It's most likely the last thing I said.

As a person who's got a business on SL that doesn't involve environmental textures shanked from games, i have to say that you don't play SL if you've got a bad PC. I know folks who play Crysis on full specs , but still have horrible performance with Second life. But hell, it's a living. XD

Most of the gun people in SL are using textures from other games, and doing a little editing in photoshop. I can still tell what games they rip from though, and most importantly, so can the original people who made them.

That i DO know actually. Many of them use a site called FPSBananna i believe to get their textures. So not only are they ripping off other game companies, but they very well may be ripping off people's own work. It's a real shame too.

I've been doing the same thing lately, though I am turning them into avatars too. Nothing known as I'd need permission to sell it if it wasn't mine. A lot of people making stuff based of Star Wars or other properties not their own will be in for a surprise soon in SL, if you haven't heard.

Watch Equilibrium, it's based off that basically. I don't strive to make boring realism weapons in pc games. There's no art to it for me personally. I'll be careful that the 3d model there of myself doesn't go deaf from the pixel guns going off near my head.

It's something I made with a friend in a game called Second Life. I strongly advise against playing it though. I mean you can, but it's a bad game in the end that goes no where. It's more like an addiction and you have to spend real money on things, which is stupid since most of the stuff you buy from people in SL, is stolen from real stuff/better games you should have just played in the first place. People charging retail prices for one stolen texture = stupid. I play though so I'm screwed.

Because there is no one around to shoot at. It's just a demonstration. Also this is in second life, a really bad game for anything but standing in place chatting, you can only do so much. If there was enemies around they'd be shot at. It's sort of like if you play a fps and just shoot guns at walls or whatever to test them. The real point was just to show the animations off. I didn't have 30 people around to attack at the time I recorded this.

I think one of the #1 horrible things is the texture stealing liars followed by the people who make you jump through hops so you are honored enough to buy their junk. Second Life would be a good game if many many changes were made. I don't want to go into those details here though. if you are looking for true hardcore gun combat or any type of combat or vehicles, second life is not the game, go play the games developed to be those things. SL is more like the Sims but with more options. Guns in SL are often ripped off textures. Mine are original (you can't see them up close in this video) but they are just a novelty in a game like SL.

It's nice to create and share there though, just full of thieves that love ripping textures from hl2,source etc. I'd avoid the game it's not that great. Stick with FPS games.

It's a very evil game I just play to make side cash to fix up puppies. I'm working on something with unreal engine 3 and gun katas and pretty much what you saw above but 1000x better. That is such an understatement.
