A throwback is a person..male or female...who is a certain age, but is moved by music, themes, dress, etc. from an age or era long before their actual generation. There are lots of us out there. Just bought the cd last month. Love her voice. This is my favorite. Looking back I realize that we listened to pretty sophisticated music when we were young. This is not a throw away tune...the lyrics, the vocals, the arrangements, the band. We were being schooled. Tell Patti we are still listening and still buying, hint, hint.

@kdrew2465 - wow, really? well, please tell her that I am extremely thankful for her music and I wish more of today's singers would realize you don't need all of these "tricks" like autotune, to make your voice sound amazing if you actually have an amazing voice like Patti Drew...I was born in the late 70's and was lucky enough to have parents that ONLY played good music...my kids WILL know who Patti Drew is, no "studio manufactured" music for me... =)

Just bought the cd last month. Love her voice. This is my favorite. Looking back I realize that we listened to pretty sophisticated music when we were young. This is not a throw away tune...the lyrics, the vocals, the arrangements, the band. We were being schooled. Tell Patti we are still listening and still buying, hint, hint.

Tell Patti I listened to her music when I was in Jr. High school and am still enjoying it now that I'm 58! Her voice is timeless as are her songs. Tell her thank you for the gift of hearing her music and the memories that come with it...love and light

I absolutely love this recording. Like some of the other comments, my parents played only good music and Pattie was one of them. I was searching around asking if anyone knew the record, at the time I couldn't remember the artis name and when my brother played it, I was so excited and the music took me back to when I was 8 years old. A good feeling indeed! My best to your grandmother.

@kdrew2465 Tell her that I love her voice and music, and have since hearing her in the 60s. She worked this song! Great voice, phrasing and passion. It was released when I was 11 or 12. I remember her voice, phrasing and words, and the music so clearly. A thousand thanks to Patti Drew! Timeless and priceless!
