A whole new set of fixtures would have to be made to do a different set of rims...a little more than I would want to get into, sorry

It doesn't weaken it, it simply changes the load rating. These rims were designed with a load rating of 25,000 pounds, which would be way overkill for my truck which shouldn't even break 3000 pounds.

They should easily be able to handle 10,000 pounds the way they are now, the spokes are still thicker than most aftermarket rims for pickup trucks.

I used the 6" by 16" Eagle Alloys #034 rim with some 215/50-16 tires (used tires to set my truck up with) , if you were actually using this rim on a 1 ton dually and were planning on pulling a 24,000 pound trailer with it you probably wouldn't want to cut them down, since my street rod is not going to be used to haul that much weight I wanted the look with a little more style.
