better next time use real people in your movies, and real decors and real costumes okay,,why not?,,course it was to much money..ofcourse..this is a good way to make a movie cheap and lil kids gonna watch this crap movie..yall make a lot of cash on that ,true, butt the real people that knows what real movies are, thinks this only made 4 quik earned cash,,in these economic crisis times..verry smart you 2..meet the feebles- E.T - Hook and popeye real persons in it,robin willams in the 80's verry cool
I was excited then I just saw the trailer and it looks awful . Why mess about with the books anyway i just can't stand that dreadful animation a real shame . How much it cost ? Utter rubbish , i wish people with real passion and creative vision were involved ,thundering typhoons !!!!!!!
@winchesterchain your my man,you my man are a real movie fan,,like me and many others..this movie just made quik for cash, for lil kids..get much money quik and make the movie cheap..these days movies,,so bad..i thought 1941 was bad,,butt this..they must use real people in it the next time, course i bet..there come more movies of tintin after this one,..,and believe me they all gonna suck big time,,till there comes a director that uses real people ,then i wil watch it,for sure
@antisumiala I'm a fan man (From Mexico) and I can tell you that it is a very good movie. It's a kind of Indiana Jonesesque, of course is Spielberg, but, is still Tintin. Watch it; it's not that bad, actually it's pretty good .-.
WoW! Peter Jackson looks GREAT! Could hardly recognise him. HIs new cuteness now is still no excuse for messing this up - childhood memories are on the lone here ... GOOD LUCK GUYS
I hope Lucas isn't involved in this project.. that would be devastating for Tintin! Just imagine the titles, "The Adventures of Tintin and the Attack of the Giant Ants!"
Thank you Steven Spielberg and Peter Jackson for doing this! As a huge life-long Tintin fan, I can't wait to see the movie. And the animation looks great in the trailers.
@devilhacker666 I'm so excited! and no they are not killing with animations!! get modern Tintin is back you ass hole!! WOOT WOOT, can't wait, come soon to GUATEMALA CITY!! :D
spielberg+usa+tintin= 0 !!!!! you kill the work of herger with stupid animation and Special effects... the licorne in the desert wat the hell man! it's not Pirates of the caraibes it's TINTIN..... f**** the work of you spielberg you kill the history of TINTIN!
@PsukeLukou oh yes, yes ! Thanks so much. Now I get it. He says that because I Tintin original comic was in French. I love this guy. And I remember him saying that there will be no cars no gadgets just endless Europe in this movie !
@PsukeLukou hey ,by the way I just discovered its not french its spanish, Now I'm totally lost why S.S. says that and on top of that I looked like a fool when I said to my boss that I know a word in french, and they laughed and told me its spanish !
@kshitijnikam The thing is, it's the same word for both languages. But since they were in a French city for this interview (Angoulême, for the International Comics Festival), he definitely spoke French !
I am having fangasm after fangasm just seeing this image of Academy-Award winning directors Peter Jackson and Steven Spielberg with Tintin behind them. WHY CAN'T THE MOVIE COME SOONER?!?!?!?!?!?
I'm so glad that Tintin is being directed by Steven Spielberg and being true to the comics. Too bad another Belgian treasure (The Smurfs) is being raped by the same asshole that made Scooby-Doo (Raja Gosnell if you don't know) and being infested with American pop-culture references. Unlike the guy directing The Smurfs, Spielberg isn't a hack who wants to make a movie just for a quick buck. This will be interesting.
Beter be good because Tintin is Belgian like me. I used to watch the toon. ti's only released in December 2011. Es bero que sea bueno porque soy belga como Tintin. Miraba la serie animada. Solo viene en los cines en diciembre 2011.
I am so tired of americans putting hands on almost ANYTHING that can bring them more BUCKS. It is so really Boring and being a Spielberg or a Jackson does not mean you can take all you want to make a blockbuster! Tin Tin should stay where it is and as it is, for respect for and artist like Hergè. We are really tired of american way of making everything a source of profit. They will kill Tin Tin. Leave it alone.
Hey people, Tintin isn't a french hero, He is belgian reporter, it mean from belgium.
A little country just upside france. We also speak french in belgium, but also dutch and german (just a little)...
Belgium is the country who creat the "french" frites, famous beer, the atomium, a big construction with balls, and "maneken piss", a folkoric personnage.
Well, I see two big directors trying to turn Tintin into an oil field, of course in the name of art of literature, and in which process, they will destroy it. After all, it's just good business.
"Tin Tin" and "Calvin and Hobbes" are the two best comics ever written in my opinion, because they really are adventures. The characters go everywhere in the world...and then some!
Does anyone else feel a little uneasy about the fact that one of the last century's best comic series is getting the 'Polar Express' treatment? I mean,$135 million to imitate live action instead of making an exceptional traditional (or even tradigital) animated film? This one's gonna be a hard sell for me.
I used to watch the cartoons as a kid, they were something amazing, now i hope this film made by two of the greatest directors captures that amazement i found within the cartoons.
@carlospacheco They are not twins, their surnames are different. I think in english are Thompson & Thomson. In Spanish is Hernández y Fernández, in French is Dupond et Dupont. They are almost identical except for the moustache, one has a cerl on the edge and the other has a straight mustache. It's hilarious though.
I'm only 16 (nearly 17) and i have loved TinTin all my life, as well as films and directors. Spielberg is a great director and i hope this film is good! I mean i've read all the tintin's and this is up in the top 5 books. If all goes well maybe a sequel film?
