  • I didn't think I could like a version as well as Jerry Vale's, but wow, this is remarkable...so beautiful a voice...Italian is so beautiful of a language.

    Wonderful...

    Larry

  • @LarryStaples this is the original version from the movie Rome Adventure and I know because I saw it many times and I am 68.

  • Al di la CANCIÓN QUE LE GUSTABA A MI PAPÁ Y LA TARAREABA Y CON SUS MANITOS COMO DIRECTOR DE ORQUESTA RASGABA EL AIRE TOMANDO SU CAFÉ PASADO Y SU CIGARRO Y SU LIBRO DE SU PRIMO MARTÍN ADÁN Y DE SU HIJA MAGDALENA DE LA FUENTE GAVIOTA HOY TARAREAS ENTRE NUBES VIEJO CON DIOS... Y MAMÁ EL GARN Y ÚNICO AMOR DE TU VIDA BAILANDO EN UN METRO CUADRADO DE ESTRELLA BUA Y BUAA...

  • pela madona! no parole, che meraviglia, io ammo questa musica Alice DANTAS

  • Beautiful, grazie.

  • grazie.

  • Yes, this is Pericoli singing, but it's much slower than the version he performed in the 1962 film Rome Adventure.

  • hermosa canción

  • I love Pericoli too.

  • This is without question Emilio Pericoli.I love both singers. they have there own style and different vocal technique. what makes both of them so good is the love and passion that they bring to the music!!!!!!!!!!!!!

And that is what all of us feel when they sing.

  • i love all versions i just love this song so much

  • Does anyone out there know how I can get the MP3 File on this song and this artist? It's not on Itunes.

  • O trem lindo...!!!

  • Lindissíma e inesquecível

  • Using Domenico's photo only confuses things up needlessly.

And nobody can sing Al Di La like the real one....the singer is EMILIO PERICOLI a great Italian singer of the 60's. Al Di La is the theme song of the movie "Rome Adventure" with Trey Donahue and a beautifukll American actress which I believe to be Susan Planshette. This song was a great hit in the Europe in the 60's.

  • oh my god i love this song so much i will buy the CD

THIS IS A SONG YOU WILL FALL IN LOVE WITH I LOVE IT

  • oh my god i love this song so much i will buy the CD

  • It is Emilio Periccoli

  • wonderfull ! il est " magnifico" DOMENICO !

    ça vibre!!!

    mhdallard

  • Piacere, buona fortuna!!!

  • THIS IS NOOOOT MODUGNO, please do not insult the great Domenico Modugno !!!

  • The heart and the soul inside of the pure sounds...great, greatest Modugno.

    Thanks alot!

  • This is the best version that I have ever heard, and will remain a classic.

  • Very beautiful song from the "Rome Adventure" era. I wish it were possible for it to return.............

  • yes, youre on right the singing is emilio pericolli, but the song is so lovely, amazing...

  • In my mind is the memory of my father and my mother, forever in love, something that this generation does not understand because it was never exposed to its beauty...

  • The phrasing does sound sound like Domenico Modugno to me, but could be Emilio Pericola. I have listened to this song from various artists for the last hour and i can't believe the power of the song. I had never heard of Luciano Tajoli who was the first singer to record it. then i found a 50th anniversary TV apprearance by him. As good as all the other versions are, and they are very good, Tajoli owns this song. It is worth seatching for. Enjoy!

  • @JMfromSD

No, the music is written by Carlo Donida in 1961 and the words are from Mogol (Giulio Rapetti).

  • che meraviglia.....al di là....ci sei solo tu....

  • listening to other songs modugno siangs, he has a clearer voice. pericoli's voice is softer

  • I can't get this song out of my head. Maybe if Enrico Pallozzo sang it, it would leave.

  • Ci, Emilio Pericoli.

  • NON è MODUGNO.......è Emilio Pericoli......

  • This sounds like Mudugno to me.

  • This IS NOT Modugno !!!

  • Not Modugno

  • Buon pomeriggio!

    Grazie per la condivisione di video. 5 * * * * *

    Vi auguro una grande notte

    Abbracci e Pace!

  • ese no es Modugno, es Emilio Pericoli

  • No... that's Domenico Modugno

  • There is no "Al di la" on this record of Modugno, the song list can be found on internet.

The record can be downloaded online for €10.

  • Please check with other versions of this song on You tube, this i not Modugno singing, I have confronted some expressions with Pericoli and they are identical, this is Pericoli singing.

Modugno has a slight dialect and he doesn't sing with this clear Italian sound, he has another expression which I find very interesting.

  • @saintpine

The Modugno´s voice was very similar to the Emilio Pericoli, I heard both versions and the cadence of Modugno voice is really unforgetable, even when he sings in natural Italian and not in his original Sicilian dialect., don´t you believe?

It´s my opinion, as Italian lover of this romantic themes

  • @saintpineare you sure that this is Pericoli. It really does sound like Pericoli?

  • @rlcope45

There are many videos on youtube with Pericoli singing.

On the other hand on Domenico's record that appears in the video, this song is not on the list, which is quite strange because this song is nearly as famous as "Volare".

I have searched many Italian web sites, and his official website, I cannot find any trace that Domenico has ever sung this song.

  • @saintpine You are right. It is Pericoli singing. Bella canzione.

  • @saintpine You are right, the background music on one of the Pericoli versions is exact to this one. Weird. Now I want to hear Modugno to see how well he sings it.

  • This is the first version I heard. It was a red 7 inch vinyl record. Beautiful!!

  • This beautiful song remember me my father singing it at home in 1962 when I was 6 years old.

    in Peru.

    Che bella canzone.

Me recuerda mi infancia en Perú.

  • This song is just immortal like Domenico Modugno!!!! One of most romantic songs ever.

  • It is a love song since 1965

  • This is Emilio Pericole's voice! the best version of Al di la.

  • I understand Italian but cannot write all that matters is the music-it's understood by all! :)

So please don't just lump all Americans into one category, would you be comfortable is someone said all Germans are...

Some one once said in Hebrew all generalization are inherently incorrect, including this one which in Hebrew is: Kol ha-haclalot einan nechonot, kolel zu.

    Dobranoz, gute Nacht

    Bye

  • "screibe"?? Coglione!!

  • Do you have mental problems?

Your mother should have put soap in your mouth.

Yes and Tanti us without an i. you should be without both.

  • Stai zitto ignorante rotto in culo!

Ciucciacazzi!

  • Everyone has their favorite version. I call this one a "tie" between Domenico Modugno and Amelio Pericoli. Both are excellent.

  • Capise English? The sheer passion in Italian ballads like this one brings tears to my eyes EVERY time. English-language songs lack that degree of passion.

  • l'italiano e la lingua piu

  • Hermosa cancion y muy bellos recuerdos.

    Gracias.

  • I think Domenico sings it best. I thought that he sangit in the movie, Rome Adventure, but obviously I was wrong. I do think that this is the version that hit the charts in the US

  • Only Pericoli can bring out the best in this song.

  • i like this version better

  • Solo tu...solo tu...ogni ora..ogni momento..e in ogni luogo

  • I mean Luciano Tajoli...ignore the typo...

  • this is Emilio Pericoli...for the original and the best version recorded by Lciano Tajoli see my upload--Pericoli is pale in comparison..the power and interpretation of Tajoli is mind blowing..

  • Wow! I never heard this version before. Better than Emilio Pericoli. Thanks for turning me on to it!

  • Wow, this is not better than Pericoli. THIS IS PERICOLI !!!!!!

Simply the guy added a Modugno's picture, rsrsrsrs

  • Good as Emilio, Domenico's Volare was a Classic.

  • Comment removed

  • Better than Emilio Pericola's version.

  • brings back great memories of many many years ago 5 star

  • I like this.

  • Yes this is the best version..no doubt.

  • BELLISSIMA !!

  • falso si sente da molto lontano

  • Best version is the original by Luciano Tajoli recorded in 1961..I have posted this ..have a listen...

  • It's Emilio Pericoli, not Modugno. Change the pics! Molto pericoloso`!

  • The Boy Meets Girl I was talking about is directed by Jerry Ciccoritti.

  • I really like this song. It is featured in one of my favorite movies Boy Meets Girl. This singer really does a good job of conveying the emotions of this love song. kudos.

  • im english but my mother is italian, ilove all the music but not the food, thats life...13,498. the best version ive heard is lys assia with dino olivieri & his orchestra and connie francis ............

  • This is definitely Emilio Pericoli.

  • vero capolavoro della canzione italiana. Senz'altro. Dio sia con te!

  • I have a shorter version of this exact same song. This is Emilio Pericoli singing, NOT Domenico Modugno, But thank you very much(muchas

    gracias) for posting it.

  • A song for falling in love. Take me away from the Fabio!

  • Where is D. Modugno????

  • is dead....

  • yes, he's dead but he's not singing on this record!

  • Sounds like Emilio Pericoli to me.

  • And you are absolutely right. THIS IS Emilio !!!

  • bella canzone!
