A few months of enjoying your music and videos have taught me more about our area's rich history than all my years at Shikellamy combined. Keep up the good work. The world needs more artists, historians, and storytellers like you. In my book, you'll always be on equal footing with Neil Young and my other favorites.
No matter how far I travel and how many troubles I encounter, I can always count on this song for a taste of home and a long-lasting smile. It's a bittersweet reminder to count your blessings, no matter how cold the brave new world may feel.
I was first introduced to your music at my buddy's campsite across from Isle-of-Q. Sitting by a campfire looking out at the river with your music playing was a surreal experience. I feel proud and fortunate to know your music.
Thank you! Hey, maybe I can bring my guitar down to the fire by the River this fall some time. I never pass up a chance to sit by the Susquehanna and play music!
THANK YOU SO MUCH FOR THIS SONG,,after my long day at work , dealing with scrap metal,, i roll one , think of my ancestors ,think of my granpa and their hard lives, i forget about whatever trouble i have :D:D ...this song rules...the truth about pride, good people, SOLIDARTY...SREČNO as we say in our small country to miners.. SREČNO MEANS GOOD LUCK ,or like you Say god bless...anyway SREČNO KNAPI!!!
Great song and video ! My dad was an anthracite coal miner here in northeast Pa. for 20 years. He worked for Glen Alden Coal Co. in the mines of the Loomis, Avondale and Wanamie Collieries. He passed away in 2003 from Black Lung disease. I sure miss his stories about the mines.
hey van wagner my dad is a coal miner in lincoln pa, about 1 mile from gary lucas's old mine, and i was just wondering if u could come and make a vodeo about coal mining and there mine because things are starting to get real tight.
