Unbreakable and The Incredibles are the best superhero movies because they're both deconstructions of the genre. Unbreakable is so subtle and yet so powerful, and the music really represents that; it's a simple melody, but there's so much emotion behind each note. Excellent piece!
Sam's name here was Elijah. Correct me if Im wrong but I think that was a name the Muslims used to call their children with back in the 1960s. So was Elijah a Muslim ?
M Night could have been going for that, but Elijah is also a Hebrew and Christian prophet, so I don't think that it intrinsically means Muslim. Sorry about the guys swearing at you, by the way.
The gradual build-up from 0:49 to 3:05...absolutely chilling stuff. So simple, and yet so beautiful. You really have to listen to the whole thing to really appreciate it.
James Newton Howard is at his best when scoring an M. Night Shyamalan film. This and Lady in the Water are two of my absolute favorite scores from him.
Some of my friends found this movie boring but I totally disagree. Unbreakable is great film with unique storyline. It wasn't Action - it's Mystery/Thriller with elements of SCI-FI. Bruce Willis was stunning. Spencer Treat Clark showed brilliant acting for a kid
Last track is awesome. This movie has got to be the best I've ever seen. It even beats Transformers 2 and GI Joe.....Good old Shyamalan, so many good movies-Signs, The Village, Unbreakable...and the list goes on.
In my observation Shyamalan seems to be obsessed with confronting the mundane with the mythical realities. "Unbreakable", unlike "Woman in the water", does it very well.
@burinasVk I get goosebumps listening to almost every theme in this soundrack bro. A film as well put together as the score by James Newton Howard. I cannot understand how it did not make the box office, let alone be nominated for an award.

the only thing i hate that, it has an ending ...

The best he's ever done, when he still made incredible movies.
His newer one's are just a stupid political message for sale.

It's " Lady in the Water", assdonkey. It's also a pretty good movie.

Eh...it's not actually. It IS Unbreakable. So you owe the good gentleman an apology!!
Easy to hear it at 00:53, when the 'main' theme of "Visions" enters with subtle power...
Such an incredible score. I am totally revisiting this film through the music which REALLY takes one into the soul of the idea underpinning the film.

Originally Danny Elfman was my favourite - LOVED the first (score) and TRUE Batman (Michael Keaton).
Howard Shore was my favourite up to now...
Now... he's got a MAJOR fight for the title on his hands with Newton Howard!
Outstanding, powerful, exhilarating...
