  • Wow, im black and I hate having to hear the bickering:

    just enjoy guys!

  • @Nubecuube indeed youknow, just don't look at peoples color, and when a white guy punches a black guy, you should just see two people. and not one white and one black guy it's just racist indeed ppl just have to enjoy and not caring aout unimportant things in life

  • They such a racist did the black guy whiter :)

  • Those of us who grew up with these games were truly blessed.

  • Is it just me or does the white dude look like Joe from SF1? I know a lot of people have speculated that the black guy may be Mike from the first game.

  • Remember kids "Winners Don't Use Drugs." They celebrate with Champage.

  • I beat turbo on the hardest difficulty setting when I was drunk

  • lol u gotta love how capcom changed it to 2 white guys on the genesis version

  • I believe this theme was remixed in Marvel vs. Capcom for Ryu's theme.

  • Wow. Seeing this intro. I remember always trying to dig through my pockets for fifty cents. XD Or 25 cents depending on how they set the machine.

  • Street Fighter II, Rama, 1/2, Apóstrofo....Vai levar??!!!!

  • Esse jogava demais nos anos de 90-91 - Locava numa locadora chamada LINHARES VIDEO em Porto Velho-RO....Das antigas!! Abraço ao amigo VANDERLEI 1073!!!!

  • Street Fighter II' love

  • i never thought of it as racial comming from a afro american myself ,back then i was never really playin the arcade so this intro was not on the SNES but as i got older and seen it a few dozen times it took me just now to realize that it was a little ironic that the white guy beat the black guy but i dont take it as racist, besides i love me some street fighter too much to be hatin on it now because of irony intro.

  • Look at this blond jerk. His eyebrows are BLACK. And those blue eyes are probably contact lenses. I bet this guy is actually some shady latino cop beating honest black citizens unwilling to insert coins after murdering a bro, or fencing rotten drugs... In this ghetto where no one can afford a mere shirt... Otherly how would you explain the final reference to the FBI? Ha. Conclusion, winners don't use drugs!

  • And this is serious.

  • @Falsafalarala the case is this its actually 2 characteres the black guy is Mike Bison AKA Balrog (he's from the first street fighter game), and the white guy is ïs Cody from Final Fight 1989, wich is a game also published by capcom, so those 2 fighters are actually easter eggs, learn the history before commenting.

  • @zyriuz2

...and you should relax, perhaps look up the Wikipedia page on "humor" before commenting.

  • @dunnono00 i dont get it, why should i try to be funny?

  • If I am not wrong, Cony Soft (NES game pirates) used this intro as well in SF: The World Warr. , albeit without the white guy punchin the black guy.

  • I may be black, but honestly, as poorly as I was at street fighter 2, the intro looked and felt more epic back then than now. Maybe it's just old school to me now.

  • White man wins again

  • classic

typical HS bullshit. you really think the Japanese are racist?? I was darker than most black people and I ws treated great in Japan.

  • I like how some people think that the Japanese can't possibly be racist against blacks...

  • i have to agree with SeventhSun and Tru510. There was an indirect racial link in that. Was small but still noticable.

A very clich'e yellow hair, blue eyed white dude beats a very typical black guy with the afro.

I dont like racial stirrers either... Back in the 90's however i doubt many people would have bought the game if the blonde got bashed >.>

  • Classic. I always thought it was racist when I was little until I found out it was made in Japan

  • lmao! my brother always said it was racist too lol!

  • The Street Fighter II games were made by Capcom USA, just to let you know.

  • Seriously? I thought it was Capcom of Japan, maybe it is racist... jk

  • I thought the only contribution by Capcom USA was the character DeeJay.

  • actually, this was made by James Goddard (who worked at Capcom USA) in response to the bootlegs which added some interesting twists (such as E. Honda's Hundred Hand Slap firing a shitload of player controlled hadoukens), but of course, it ended up killing the balance of fairness in SF2:CE

  • I love this intro, I have it saved on my mp3 player. It f****ing rocks!!!! I hope they use the song for SF IV....

  • No offense, but I always thought the starting is somewhat racist ever since the first time I saw it in '92 (since World Warrior) when I was younger.

  • So a company from asia decided they would be racist, they would show their hate for black people by showing one get beat down by a white guy in the intro to their game? Seriously how original, what will they label as racist next. Even if it wasn't an asian company, it would in no way be racist anyway? Just your paranoia or a racist shit stirrer. It's like saying Rocky is racist for beating Apollo.

  • I think the problem here is very clear, you're the racist, and that's why you have a problem with this intro.

  • i beat this game thousands of times while on drugs. You gonna tell me I'm not a winner.

  • classic intro

  • At the end of the Street Figther logo, it stated "Winners Don't Use Drugs" by William S. Sessions, Director of the FBI. 15 years later, it's soo true! Thanks to old school tv commercials and these messages, I'm never doing drugs.

  • Congrats! Well done! I thought I had to introduce you to Wally Bear and the No Gang but I don't think it's really necessary judging from the way you are developing.
