  • Nice one Paul !

  • The Name should be (ROVER-T1)

  • Simple name "Hoopla"

  • Paul call it The DH Elite or maybe The DH Elite Trainer. From the looks of it may be a great FPV airframe also.

  • I Say M.O.A.T!!!!

  • Or "messenger"

  • Call it "the watcher" or "sonar"

  • Nice job! Just subscribed. Looking forward to the next part.

  • cool plane! look's a bit like a sea-plane

  • @RCFindsen good point

  • Paules's pusher

  • Looking forward to building this one when the plans come out. This will be good for a newbie pilot like my self.

  • People, what do you think? It will be able to take off and land on water ???

    It would be awesome!!!!

  • Sweet sitting here waiting for the plans, Like crossfire 1

  • looks awesome paul can't wait for the plans

  • question Paul, will the wing be glued on or will it be held down with rubber bands??? Can't really tell from the video...

  • Awesome job, cant wait to build this one! How bout ( The foaminator T-1) T for trainer.

  • Ambigious Amphibious Trainer??? The Frog? haha

  • Oh you might want to put a razor blade edge on it to trimm the grass too hehehe.

  • Wow great stuff. I like the whole design.. The one change I would make is to the bottom thingy you have. I would round off those corners in the front of it. I think those will catch in the grass when landing , and might flip or cart wheel. Hey thanks for the great build. If this design works ,for sure I will be building this one. Thanks again.

  • I have just started getting into pusher planes. This model would be my

first pick. Looks Great. Cant wait to see it fly 100 mph.....HA, HA.

  • Question. What do you use to cut the 45 degree channels in the foam board? Like I side I am a very newbee.

  • @76Oldman Use a very sharp exacto knife(small hobby knife). Draw out two lines about 3/8ths inches apart.Using a metal ruler or strait edge, cut towards the inside of the two lines at a 45 degree angle. Make sure you don`t cut through the opposite side of the foam board. .practice on some scrap until you are good enough to do it on your project. The key is to have a very sharp or new blade. When done it acts as a hinge but I always put on some packing tape to strengthen it.hey good luck.

  • @lewandlo Thanks for the quick responce I will give it a try once the plans are availble.

  • Just startinmg in RCing and this look like a good place to start. Keep doing the great things and help us newbees out.

  • I say call it EasyStarT. Maybe make a bigger version for FPV and call it Skywaalker

  • Call it the Albatross

  • looks great paul. may i make a few suggestions. tail servos on top to keep them out of grass or whatever your landing on( for belly landings) also sense it's a trainer maybe a cheaper motor set up. like the 2212-06 and use a 2200mah battery. maybe prop down at first. this combo is very popular for 450 heli guys looking to build a plane. cus we alredy have the batteries. love the full fuse also. also thinking a kf2 is probly more than enough plus cuts down on materials. otherwise loving it

  • The Slow and steady

  • Name suggestion: Fly Easy Die Hard Trainer. F.E.D.H.T lol.

  • Phoenix Trainer

    or

FF-Icon it looks like it with those things at the bottom

    Hawk Trainer

    Die Hard Condor

  • Yeah i like M.O.A.T as it's got a good ring to it lol, good luck with his one Paul but i'm sure you won't need it as most if not all your designs come out real well.

  • LOL!!! I second that vote, M.O.A.T.!!!!!

  • if it is a beginner plane you should crash test it

  • awesome paul :) times have changed i learnt to fly on a 70inch wingspan 46 nitro trainer. within 2 weeks i was flying it inverted 2 feet above the strip lol, awesome plane. you were right about the A5 look :) cool man!

  • it reminds me of a seaplane, maybe give it a model name from a seaplane along with there color scheme like red and yellow or green and white

  • call it M.O.A.T (mother of all trainers)

  • @DonoghueRC haha! you've got my vote for suggesting that name.

  • dayyum thats sharp ;) hope it does work out nicely.

  • That's A Really Cool Airplane!

Thanks For The Design, Build & Video!

  • nice plane man, good work :)

  • Cool Bro!..that thing will fly good ..for sure :)

call it the FF-Snug Flyer! a'yeah!!!

    Jacques

  • That's a sweet looking plane, even if it doesn't fly massively well, I'd still like the plans to it.

How about a simple name like Core Trainer?

  • Love it!

  • I'm waiting for plans of that beautiful plane.

  • how about:

    2012 ALPHA TRAINER

  • Im not sure on the big square surface right behind where the prop will be.

Wouldnt that be lots of drag?

  • i love the green outlet.............

  • . great design Paul. How about the" M3 addiction" because all us rc addicts have to start some where.

  • Oh! Oh! I thought. Another Bixler, AXN Floater/ Fly sky and goodness knows what. What a pleasant surprise to see some from way outside the box. The box configuration on the belly has me thinking it would dig in on landing and maybe turning the turtle on it's back but I'm sure you've looked at that.

For some weird reason, as soon as you said "I don't know what to call it." The word Squid just came to mind. No reason. I just thought Squid.

Good luck, and I'll get a set of plans when ready Stu

  • Wow, just wow!!! That looks like it would make a good fpv platform, or if it was water tight maybe some flying off of water... can't wait for the plans, got all the electronics waiting!!!!

  • can i use a smaller motor?

  • Call it, Slow Joe

  • cool...btw how many chn does it need?

    can i use a 4 chn Radio?

  • YOU PROBABLY CAN

  • Another awesome plane guys. I love it.
