@Lifty4ever 1st gen, kiddo. No Guard doesn't exist. Aura sphere doesn't exist. Psystrike doesn't exist. Dynamic Punch doesn't exist. Cross Chop doesn't exist. Psychic pokemon are pretty much gods. Telekinesis and Fling came in the 2nd gen, which is clsoe enough. Only 151 pokemon, too, kiddo.

Until you realize that Psychic Pokemon learn more than just Psychic-type moves (See: Alakazam- Focus Blast, Starmie- Signal Beam, Move: Hidden Power).
@Yoshkatana untill you realize that arceus can change type HOWEVER HE WANTS. If alakazam uses focus blast WHOA arceus changes to ghost type and no damage. starmie signal beam goes to flying type. and if someone used hidden power I hope youve got you mathematical ecuation ready and so your EV chart. If one detail misses, it could end up as a type like FUCKIN DRAGON WHICH IS USELESS EXCEPT FOR DRAGON TYPES.
Really? The only way that'd be possible would be if it used Trick and the target held a plate (spoiler: no smart trainer gives a pokemon a plate due to much better items existing), which is a small hope unless you're in a double/triple battle and placing your entire faith in Arceus being able to switch plates when needed.
Even if you did switch type at will, only ghost, normal, and ground negate damage but it would still fail if you were facing a pokemon with Mold Breaker.
@nothingespecial1 Mold Breaker allows pokemon to hit regardless of abilities (so a ground move on Levitating pokemon, electric moves on Lightningrod, etc), so Arceus would get hit as a normal type (though I don't battle with Ubers so I could be wrong in that).

Arceus is nothing. It is just another what people would call legendary, even though as every new pokemon game is they have like over 9000 legendaries.

While I myself prefer the first two generations, I still can enjoy the latest three generations and their pokemon. They all aren't that bad (even though the existence trio are abstract concepts...). @madlink06 Because Mewtwo is called the "strongest Pokemon" when Absol Sucker Punch , Spiritomb , Palkia , Deoxys(and his ATK forme) , Arceus can all rape it . Also Arceus has a higher base stat total. So Arceus is stronger. Mewtwo is just overrated and cheap.

Legendaries aren't as legendary as they used to be, there are just way to many and I think Game Freak tries too hard to make them so... Mythical. It goes from genetically engineered super-pokes to fairies to titans to GOD in a little over a decade.

Arceus is statically the strongest Pokemon(720 is the highest with 680 being second highest) . If you think Lucario is weak to his own type , then you haven't had a look on Giratina who is weak to BOTH of his own types.
Mewtwo can be killed by Sucker Punch , not so strong now.

Man Mewtwo was such a bitch in Pokemon Stadium. Blizzard plus psychic made a frustrating combo. The music was the only enjoyable part of fighting him.

@Wahsayah I had to use rental Pokemon for it (All three legendary birds plus hypno and drowzee) and just spammed hypnosis and their most powerful attacks. He had killer AI, but it was so satisfying when you finally ended up killing him. He'd go down on one knee and you go 'FUCK YES'.

If alakazam uses focus blast WHOA arceus changes to ghost type and no damage. starmie signal beam goes to flying type. and if someone used hidden power I hope youve got you mathematical ecuation ready and so your EV chart. Really? The only way that'd be possible would be if it used Trick and the target held a plate (spoiler: no smart trainer gives a pokemon a plate due to much better items existing), which is a small hope unless you're in a double/triple battle and placing your entire faith in Arceus being able to switch plates when needed.
Even if you did switch type at will, only ghost, normal, and ground negate damage but it would still fail if you were facing a pokemon with Mold Breaker.

@nothingespecial1 Mold Breaker allows pokemon to hit regardless of abilities (so a ground move on Levitating pokemon, electric moves on Lightningrod, etc), so Arceus would get hit as a normal type (though I don't battle with Ubers so I could be wrong in that).
And if you wanna talk movies, give me Latias. Random chick walks up to you, you say "hi" and get to eat a Dragon Pulse to the face as the girl turns out to be a pokemon.

While I myself prefer the first two generations, I still can enjoy the latest three generations and their pokemon. They all aren't that bad (even though the existence trio are abstract concepts...). Times are changing, so you might as well enjoy the new stuff :P

Legendaries aren't as legendary as they used to be, there are just way to many and I think Game Freak tries too hard to make them so... Mythical. It goes from genetically engineered super-pokes to fairies to titans to GOD in a little over a decade.

Arceus is statically the strongest Pokemon(720 is the highest with 680 being second highest) . If you think Lucario is weak to his own type , then you haven't had a look on Giratina who is weak to BOTH of his own types.
Mewtwo can be killed by Sucker Punch , not so strong now.

@Wahsayah I had to use rental Pokemon for it (All three legendary birds plus hypno and drowzee) and just spammed hypnosis and their most powerful attacks. He had killer AI, but it was so satisfying when you finally ended up killing him. He'd go down on one knee and you go 'FUCK YES'.
