  • awsome track awsome artist im into deep house but her stuff is fab thanks bjork :) xx

  • 11 people have no taste.

  • @mzjulesghouls maybe 11 people realize that this kind of concerts makes the royal opera house lose hundreds of conservative patrons and sponsors. ;-) A lot of opera houses that engaged with producing non-conservative shows have lost all of their credibility - take the famous Sydney opera house as an example.

This (wonderful) show could have taken place anywhere else. Why on earth did it have to be in a highly reputed opera house that is already struggling to keep its income?

  • My name is Isobel........

  • my favorite artist she is an angel

  • I always come back here... I love sooo much this version!

  • @ munchy14 sorry I'm not the one that bring gaga first just left my opinion =]

  • Ich wurde von den Namen Jesabell gewarnt(es hat was mit der Holy Bible zu tun und dessen sagen wir mal "Energy" or something like thats)Ich bin jetzt 36, finde dieses Lied magisch, wie früher als ich es während Fahrrad fahren unerlaubt hörte fuhr durch die wälder von odenwald, its something crazy in it so im begeistert i zachwycona

  • Beautiful Modern Bjork Music, her singing and music in Isobel is so sophisticated and modern yet her rendition is so classic and timeless...I love it! almost 60's urban or even ancient times...

  • My Muse! Björk is perfect!

  • I am constantly driven to different states of mind when listening to something Bjork creates.

  • Absolutely Amazing!!!

  • Bjork could bang out a tune in a phone box and it would sound ten times better than most other female recording artists. The likes of Lady Gaga can't even compare. To try is an insult.

  • her dress makes her look like one of the whos in the grinch... its adorable. i love bjork

  • from 1:44 to 1:52 gives me the creeps everytime

  • best ever

  • Bjork..she's just a different animal there are few you can compare her to, because she values talent and originality over anything else..how many singers can say that?

  • best isobel version i know. outstanding.

  • I just love the backup singers grooving in the back, it so cute LOL! <3

  • But listen to her go @ 4:31. Wow.

  • This version does lack one thing -- the huge tympani hits going into the chorus...or maybe they're there but my little computer speakers just aren't reproducing them.

  • Yeah, the cinematic sweep of this song is incredible.

  • How does she look literally exactly the same as she did in 1977??

  • @thedeliria

    elven blood.

  • Wow! This is truly a fantastic version. Excellent! What a voice!

  • a true goddess for my humble worship

  • hm...

  • i dnt think anybody loves her more than i do...

  • Bjork is an amazig musician... i've never ever regret about listening to her music. It's sad, but it looks like she wont write new songs... Ah... I dont care how old is she, but her songs will live forever.

  • what beautiful and interesting sounds

  • Bjork is in late 40s and SHE is GREAT!!!!!!i love her!!!Fuck me mother Bjork!!!:)

  • Gaga who?

  • Bjork in live is amazing, she is a monstrer !!!

  • she was like the Lady Gaga of the 90s right? 90s?

  • @jaymeeharkeen nope , she's one of the music genious of the human history.

  • @jaymeeharkeen That's one of the silliest things I've read recently. Bjork and Lady Gaga are worlds apart. First of all, THEIR MUSIC is worlds apart.

Lady Gaga is all style + a bit of talent which most of her songs don't even show. There is no any musical backbone to all her surface style. Besides, I think that Lady Gaga's style is mostly thought out, not who she really is.

On the other hand, Bjork is all genius music and heartfelt, true poetry + style that is distinctively her own.

  • It's funny how people stuggle to classify Bjork as if they could, it would somehow make them "understand" all that they think they need to know about her or her music or both. Even from fans who still struggle to classify her. The solution is simple...let go! Let go of your expectations and simply enjoy it. It's creative play, it's music at its best...unhindered by external or artificial forces. That doesn't mean to say that its THE BEST, just in the creative zone where music CAN be best. Love.

  • it was years ago. had this song on repeat on the discman, full volume, head phones on, while we were all waiting out a strong typhoon in our college dorm. no power, everyone panicking in the hallways. it was an eerily beautiful night for me because of this song...

  • People prefer teeny bopper music to the profundity of Icelandic genius?

  • Quirky little genius.

  • thank U so much for sharing this!

  • fine

  • a human (or even inhuman) monument in music today and forever

  • bjork has the most powerful voice ever and she is so beatiful too.i just love her

  • Most of bjork songs are strongly produced, besides the amount of eletronic details and beats of her song... Artists that choose this way often suffers to reproduce it well Live... but she can easily do it, and most of her videos are better than the studio version! This only show us how talented this women are... and people dare to say that nowaday music sucks... Well, i tell them that they don´t know music at all!! 90´s 00´s one of the best years for music in my opinion!!

    Cheers from BraSil

  • OMG i have this DVD, when i play it on my dad's home theater is sounds soooo beautifly, it seems like im there listening to her singing =)

  • What is this DVD?

  • I have this DVD Björk is one of the most prolific songwriters of the last 20 years.most people only know her for that swan dress and have no idea what she does. yes she's a little wacky but thats part of who she is and makes her interesting

  • @ Aleksiroea thank you!!

  • If I have a daughter someday. I would call her Isobel :)

  • god .... she is so damn good LIVE.

  • And.... I am Isobel!!

  • The difference between Gaga and Bjork is that Gaga is a made up "artist" Bjork is a born artist, a real one.

  • @Melody0fMe Couldn`t say it better:)))))

  • @Melody0fMe WHY even bring up Gaga??? No one even comes close to Bjork's originality!

  • @Melody0fMe the fuck does lady gaga have to do with this. sick of people making trite comparisons between good and bad artists to try and get upvotes

  • @Melody0fMe Yeah, more like a musical "personality", she can't be called an actual artist

  • stop comparing gaga with bjork... is hurting my eyes. that gaga cunt is a copycat idiot.

  • @takk19821 In english?

  • It could have been a Jame's Bond soundtrack. The strings are so similar to what John Barry has produced for so many years. So metaphysical !!!

  • best female performer alive!

  • The 8 people who thumbs down this video obviously know very little and probably pronounce Bjork with the "J" :P

  • @magnacore11 ...how do you pronounce it?

  • @chabelita211 Seriously? It's pronounced "Byerk" actually. Some say "byork" but SHE says "Byerk" so...

  • @magnacore11 yes, I wasn't trying to be disrespectful or anything.

    Thanks! =)

  • @chabelita211 Not a problem =]

  • i can not believe people have the nerve to even compare bjork....there is no comparison!!!

  • @Personalkong

I suppose so... but really and truly, Lady Gaga CAN sing. Just listen to her singing live before she became famous. And now that you say it, yeah... Gaga's work is a bit uninspired.

  • @bjnboy A bit?! I could join in here but seriously everyone else has said it for me already. This is a beautiful song. Lady Gaga's music is electro rehash glamour trash. It's a completely different kettle of fish

  • I hate the version of this on the album but it sounds amazing live

  • so magic

  • The pressure on BJORK to live up to everyones expectations must be unbearable at times...

  • Any of you see her attack that reporter? One bad-ass vocalist, one bad-ass chick!

  • agreed platolol

  • She has got to be the best musician of the century.

Do not question this. Just accept it.

  • i never knew her, but i think shes allright :| I will be performing where she is performing right now! :D

  • Absolutely amazing.

  • 2:06 ::thumbsup::

  • 4:32 is the best part!

  • HO-LEE SHYTT! This performance is incredible; I wish I would've been able to be there. *Heads off to find DVD* ;)

  • Lady gaga is no where near as great as bjork not only does she dress weird her music is also weird 2 in a great way.Not to knock lady gaga, shes got her stlye but her music is club music anyone can make it on a beat machine. There is no duplicating bjork or comparing her,she is in her own class......

  • ICELAND IS THE BEST

  • This is the first song I unknowingly heard from her as a child. I remember loving it too! Now I have everything she's made, and I'm really addicted to her!

  • what is this music called? The genre.. it's amazing anyway

  • I don't think anyone could ever find a term fitted enough to describe Bjork's music... Even more, I find her style is considerably consistent over her career span... That's what makes it more amazing...

  • i have no idea, but i'm guessing some sort of techno fusion with strings type of thing.

  • Ambient alternative is the closest I can come up with.

  • pop

no? i always heard her saying that she does pop music but this doesnt sound like pop to me this sounds way better than that

  • @thekhalilovich the genre is called Björk...

  • Triphop I think.

  • @thekhalilovich

Bjork is really unique, but if youre looking for somewhat similar music you might try triphop (bonobo? massive attack?) or something ambient/idm/chillout.

  • @TehpTx yes i would say chillout would fit well.. massive attack especially.

  • @thekhalilovich it's Bjork.

  • Does anybody else just LOVE the orchestration on this? I think it rocks. I mean, Bjork rocks too, obv... :)

  • @WaftyHippyLass It sounds like it's from a romantic 1930s-40s movie! I think it sounds theatric.

  • @SpiffilyPeachy

funny, i get taken to that place also. i can almost place the actors.

  • Aaaamazing..

  • I'm convinced Bjork is the most incredible female performer in recent history.

  • @platolol i think she is the most incredible female performer in ALL history she is really creative an her voice its so lovely <3

  • @platolol

Lady Gaga's giving her a run for her money though.

  • @bjnboy What are you on.

  • @leewolfgang

As in Gaga receives more media attention than Bjork for her wacky outfits, and they do seem crazier than Bjork's.

  • @platolol recent history? when you can name one better please lemme know

  • @NewAvenger009 ??? You alright or just unnecessarily aggro? Just making a comment.

  • @platolol im just fine i was genuinely curious to see if u had a real answer or not.

  • @NewAvenger009 my comment and your question have no correlation. I said shes the best and you said who do you think is better. No one I guess? I'm confused. Why the "?" after recent history? I don't understand your comment.

  • @NewAvenger009 should I have said "ALL History?" My knowledge isn't that deep, I don't know how well Aretha Franklin, Patti Labelle or Janis Joplin performed because I have never seen her live. Got me? I mean the last few decades. Sue me.

  • @platolol water down the hostility guy no one cares if my comment upset you.

  • @NewAvenger009 wrong dude, it was obvious my comment upset you. I could care less as long as the music is good. Chill pill or two might do you some good.

  • @NewAvenger009 you still didn't give me a real coherent question.

  • @platolol i wasnt upset i was being facetious last time aka just messin w/ u i got what ya meant b4 hence me not replying seriously to anything following that.

  • @platolol Totally agree my friend

  • @platolol I would say Bjork is an amazingly gifted artist, and not just a "performer", as in a performer of other peoples "work".

  • AMAZING!

  • marry me isobel

  • Splendida canzone!!!

  • I have no idea...

  • is this from Vespertine Live?

  • It's from her Live at the Opera House DVD, I don't think it's on Vespertine Live.

  • this song is magic

    i'm crazy about it :)

  • Hey, do you know if this is from Vespertine Live? If it is, I think i'll buy it !

  • LMFAO

  • the chorus... is that how Björk sees us? ;)

  • The most inventive woman in music. Pure genius and a voice not of this Earth

  • What is her genre???.. I don't understand..

  • she made up her own genre! sound of bjork :))

its hard to classify her music. sometimes experimental, sometimes jazzy, sometimes idm... this is bjork mate. listen to her, she makes good music.

  • wow.

  • i looooooooove bjork

  • my name really is Isobel!

  • @izzzzzzz54 im jealous!

  • ..........

  • @SmyaLyn dude, seriously. guess her vocal range? she could crack glass with her pipes. eccentric? yes. lacking talent? hell no.

  • adore this performance, it's beautiful

obozavam ovaj koncert, kakav performans,...carica je

  • heh does it say lost in beavis and butthead??

  • i'm sooooo in love with this little girl!!!!

    great song.

  • love this song so much and the live version is even more awesome! :o

  • i give u 2 thumbs up squishy...i feel u.

i think about like tht when i listen to her n makes my day complete. i can listen to her all day n nver get bored. =) omg need to hug my gf. lol

  • does that harp have a whammy bar? :P

  • whats a whammy bar ?

  • Bjork is an inspirational artist who has really made me think about the wonders of the world, and not many artists can do that. Why did my comment on her clone and yeti get thumbs down? I guess people don't have my sense of humor.

  • Some people sound shit live, not her shes awesome

  • i love the random movement/dancing by the background ladies..lol

  • Man, I wish I could see her live. This song is awesome in acoustic.

  • wow :^O

bjork, the hated, the loved..... :^P

  • I wonder what it would be like if Bjork had her own clone named Isobel? Would she be as talented? Or what if she had a yeti named Jerome? Hmmm...

  • Bjork is truly original. Childlike performances yes, but serious and creative in her art. Not afraid to go against the norm and always pushing the limits...

  • esto es perfecto

  • what's the exact name of her choir?!

  • Its a choir Bjork hand picked and held auditions for in Greenland for her album Vespertine.

  • Thanks. Now I can finally rest in peace and stop obsessively searching for them. They don't exist at all except for Bjork, dang. They're so good though.

  • the icelandic wonderbras

  • *gasp* Thanks, man.

  • im a women XDDDDD

  • Oh. I saw you're profile so I knew but I was hoping you didn't say anything.

  • I love her she is amazing

  • bjork holds a very childlike persona...like a 4 yro wearing her princess dress and dancing around. Most ppl wouldn't dance in a gown. :) I LOVE her!

  • Na na na na naaaaaaaah

    Na na na na naaaaaaaah....<3 <3 <3

  • 3:04 she's just so fucking amazing
