LOL at how different Ben Elton looks, both to what he does now, and to the image he would have just a couple of years later, when he became well-known in his own right! He's also very subdued, compared to the voluble, forcible Ben we all know now-but then, Rik, as himself, seems surprisingly quiet and thoughtful, compared to the characters he plays.

By the way, wasn't that Fern Britton co-presenting with Frank? She was really quite pretty then!
