Jackie's the Guv'nor. The best lead singer / front man Savoy Brown ever had. Wish Kim Simmonds had recorded at least one more LP w/ Jackie besides the one and only "Jack The Toad".
I have been following JLB since the mid 80's via the boozers in and around Guildford (the royal in stoughton), Scratchers in Farncome and the bleak house in woking. The man is a legend. Yes he does the intro on the Status Quo Album, there is a photo of him on the inside cover of the LP. It will be a sad sad day when he turns it in. My favoutite JLB album was white line. Long live Hedgehog!!!

You should hear Jackie Lynton on Savoy Brown's Jack the Toad album. Superb. This was recorded during Purple's run at Wembley in early '87. Thank you for posting!
i roadied for him the man is a legend in his own lunchbox but i love him to bits and he came to my wedding and he sang happy birthday to me this year long may he rock
Actually, the intro..from Quo Live , goes..Is there anybody out there wants to rock, is there anybody out there wants to roll, is there anybody out there wants to boogie?
Ladies and Gentlemen , will you please welcome, the number one rock n roll band in the land..the magnificent...STATUS QUOOOOOOOOOOOO !!
let it be known, ritchie could easily waste stevie ray vaughn or any player, hendrix anybody, in blues if he wanted, any style, no matter what, he is always the worlds best in any style, incredible still at about 63 he still is the best, he stays healthy, what a beautiful woman he has too in candice knight.
According to you I'm and a twat and tosser, just for mentioning that jackie Lynton played with Quo (amongst most of the UK's top blues men? If that is not being rude to someone you dont even know, have no reason to be rude to, then you are very, very ignorant and I am damned glad I don't know you (wanker).
According to you..Jackie Lynton became a member of Quo because he co-wrote Again And Again..what a lot of crap, Lennon and McCartney wrote..I wanna be Your Man for The Stones, did that make them members of The Stones?
No you tosser/twat.if you don't like being people being rude, think before you type..now run away and cry to your mummy.
If you don't want people commenting on your comments (and I was polite and trying to be informative), then shove your fingers up your arse and stop typing. MORON. ...and by the way, my mummy died 40 years ago, you ignoramous prick.
When you say GOODBYE, you just put one full stop, that indicates you don't want to talk anymore, by putting 3, you imply you have something further to say...just basic English old chap. :)
And yes I am capable of showing very good manners, but as I said in a previous comment, I can be rude to twats/tossers like you who make moronic statements.
The fact you stated he was " in " Quo, because he co-wrote a song...makes it a VERY moronic statement..you obviously have no idea what you're talking about it if you think that.
This " discussion " ends here..I won't dignify any more moronic comments with a reply.
You are right! He wasn't 'In' Quo as a band member, no need 4u to be a rude, ignorant, prick.
Rick Parfitt still plays with Jackie sometimes (Jackie has even written a tribute to him called Ricky The Rocket - they are firm friends). Ricky is featured on Jackie's album with Ian Anderson, Mick Moody and Jim Sullivan. They were 'In' the same band.
Richie Blackmore also has joined Jackie many times, so both Rick Parfitt & Richie Blackmore were 'In' The Jackie Lynton Band
I never once said I was correct, this could have ended with a correction the next day '...a member of the Quo roadcrew and best mates of Ricky P.', but being called a tosser did not encourage that amenable response did it? Anyway, subject closed. Enjoy your Easter.
I rememeber seeing JLB play with Quo in the 70's - awesome, great bloke, entertainment - and with Chas n Dave too as I recall. Whats all this bollox about? mmmmmh xx!
I saw Jackie lyntons Happy days at the Bridgehouse Canning town in the late 70's early 80's.I have Lp up in the loft with Happy day's plus alot more band's live at the Bridge house.Great stuff.
