You're about 10,000x better than that HCBailly tool.
I haven't messed with Amiga gaming at all, I like old DOS games though. Is this one very different from DOS version? I played this game a bit, couldn't really get into it though.
@HardWarUK I did give the C64 version a try, but what really killed it for me was how much you need to be changing disks (it came on four). As a side note, the Apple version was graphically identical to C64.
This was one of the games that kept the C64 going. At the time PC was 4 colour CGA with beeps, in comparison C64 with 16 colours and 4 channel sound was like having EGA and Soundblaster, which wouldn't come along for a while for PC! :)
@ArtfulDawdger You have to give some leeway to the art. Making it pink in such a low resolution with limited color palette would make it difficult to distinguish from a perfectly normal arm.
The first guy sounded uncannily like a text-to-voice speech synthesizer, and the other sounded like he was talking through a road-cone. One fine day, they both decide to play Neuromancer--and for 10 minutes and 33 seconds, they accomplished nothing.
Ah, "pudding;" another one of those stupid English words that's pronounced strangely for no reason whatsoever. Just a little FYI, the "pudd-" part rhymes with "good." ;)
you two sound like robots

@qmriis The main difference is sound and graphics. No differences come to mind regarding gameplay.

... Which brings me to my second point, That at the time this was not seen as a good conversion, looking to similar to the "inferior" C64!

So, there were these two guys--
The first guy sounded uncannily like a text-to-voice speech synthesizer, and the other sounded like he was talking through a road-cone. One fine day, they both decide to play Neuromancer--and for 10 minutes and 33 seconds, they accomplished nothing.

Favorite part of the video:
"Ole hyvä."
(awkward silence)
"...kiitos."

Coincidentally, the pudding part was my favorite part.

As an undereducated simpleton, I've never heard of this game or the book it's based off of, but I'm fascinated with seeing more of it already.

Actually, the slight hazing of my voice is perfect for this video, since it gives me a perfect excuse for my horrible "German" accent.
LateBlt 2 years ago
No kidding. I could do a better german then you. ;P But yes, I agree with crowley, Very Burgomeister. ^^

Oh, it gets worse over the next couple of videos. Yes, it takes that long for us to move a single screen.

That's horrifying and wonderful at the same time.
It's one of those "So Bad It's good" situations. ^^
I look forward to it.
