  • Are u kidding?! Its awful that ANYONE was hurt/ killed.. Imagine if the people in the video were your family or friends...

  • I sure hope no Americans were hurt.

  • People watching Tragedy: "Yep, this is definately going on YouTube"

  • Two years after this horrifying footage, I just learned that there were survivors on the floating debris. Out of 27 people floating on those debris, eight people survived including a family of four.

  • @nilobaranda ,,,,,u mean there are 27 people on this floating thing!!?my god!

  • omg.....

  • And someone's still holding an umbrella amidst the chaos...

  • Well hurricanes can cause tsunamis and earthquakes can too so it's a tie

  • @supdawgs6498 hurricanes CAN'T cause earthquakes...

  • @supdawgs6498 ,, Hurricanes do not cause Tsunamis. Underwater quakes, underwater or above ground landslides into water, and or a large enough meteor or comet can but not Hurricanes. They produce storm surges which pushes the water high ahead of the storm. But there is plenty of warning and time to evacuate from a storm surge.

  • Stupid people, you're watching a video which shows people get killed by mother nature and here you are, trying to prove which is a better killer, Hurricanes or earthquakes, grow up. pay some respect

  • I just did, according to msnbc, the figures go like this.

    Tsunami Asia 2004 = 275,950 people

Hurrican Katrina = likely higher than 1,300

I know there are thousands of hurricanes a year but im not arsed adding them all up. But at a guess id say the tsunami wins out.

  • Surely you could look at the death tolls from one event to the other and determine which is worse?

  • sk3 thinks a tsunami is a monsoon lol

  • And then....SOME of these American kids think they got it bad. We need to be grateful.

  • @pitolove71 I live in Canada but im pretty sure American hurricanes are worse than tsunamis

  • @Sk3L370R I think i disagree with your statement. There are days of warnings from the weather service charting a hurricanes path. Tsunami's are short notice violent events. I do agree that Tsunami's is mostly a beach front event & an hurricane's covers 100's of square miles in land. However, I've lived through typhoons & hurricanes. Long term fear & pre-storm prep kept me alive. I know I would die in a Tsunami because I would be shooting video until the big one hits.

  • @Sk3L370R Let me guess, You live in the dead Center of Canada right, and I'm thinkin' you've never even seen the ocean.

Hurricanes are a small force compared to earthquakes and tsunamis. Within minutes a tsunami can destroy hundreds upon hundreds of miles of coastline, hurricanes, ifyou're lucky, will do some moderate damage to the areas wher eit makes landfall, but even the tidal surges from a hurricane are only a thousandth of the strength of a tsunami.

  • @pitolove71 I hate when people say that garbage - You must be new to America for someone to say that. Some do have it Bad - Some have it good - Thats what makes our Country. You have so many opportunities to better yourself in the good old USA. Guess you werent here in Louisiana when the water and looters destroyed our homes. You have to think before you start talking bout my Generation. New Orleans....

  • @djesad No I cannot speak of Louisiana but I can speak about the wasteful young generation here in Orlando, FL. YOU must've never been around wasteful young rich kids like I have...before my business I lived in NYC hood so I know...I now live in a gated community $300K + homes & if you come here on Wed. (trash collector days) you can find 3 yr old plasma tv's, laptops, computers thrown away on the side of the road instead of donating it. So don't tell me...Live it before you judge.

  • @pitolove71 Facebook status: (a girl saying) Oh Fuck School. FML. My life sucks. i got to go to summer school.

And others: (praying) I want to to go to school. i hate this life here.

what i want to get at is you need to be grateful and stop complaining, do you want to switch places with a person who is less grateful?

  • @pitolove71 Of course, you bring America into this

  • this is the philippines not samoa

  • may you rest in peace except gloria
