  • Now on iTunes !

  • this is something different, there is a juxtaposition through the use of clich'e swing lines from the clarinet whilst the pianist interjected with rather flourishing heavy bebop lines. nice stuff

  • What a Legend! x

  • Thanks again Lester, I've just recorded a two clarinet and rhythm section album with Australian clarinet virtuoso Andy Firth and It should be out by August or September, If you wish, you can reach me on facebook or alexhutch@optusnet.com.au. Greetings neighbour from Australia. Cheers.

  • Nice one, Alex!!

  • Would you beleive Dally that I still have actual copies of Clarinet Love Affair for sale, but I think that the days od CD retail stores are numbered, but thanks to you, all my albums are now on Apple I Tunes Email me on alexhutch@optusnet.com.au

  • Hi Alex

I think that it is great that we can now buy your CD songs and Tunes on iTunes. You should have had them years ago !!

  • Thanks Edward for your kind remarks Cheers Alex

  • I like your style uncle, I also like the maestro Benny Goodman and Artie Shaw :) I love your music.

  • Thanks very much for your nice compliment Rainer,

This is praise indeed from another clarinetist,

  • I like this playing and this sound very much!

  • Thanks so much rowgun500. Incidently I note that you've posted Artie Shaw's Stardust on your site. Apart from both playing the clarinet, I agree with Buddy De Franco's opinion that Shaw's solo on Stardust is the standout solo of this tune in the history of jazz recordings. Thanks again Alex Hutchinson.

  • Your sound is very upbeat and lively, nice to listen to thanks Alex.

  • will you be playing in brisbane any time soon?

  • Omission; The other great drummer on this album is the Melbourne based Australian drummer Dean Cooper, A job well done Dean, Thanks Dean Alex

  • Reuse -this will soon be on Apple iTunes!

  • where can I buy this album? D:

  • Thank you Denise. Your support is very much appreciated. Alex----- The Boy From Downunder

  • Congratulations, Alex!!!

  • Thanks so much skipsister, however I'm very aware that in the tough music industry. you are only good as your last gig, but I'll take every single hit as a vote of confidence.

  • A total legend in Melbourne town!!! Love to play with you again soon! Julia x

  • Thanks Lester, I don't doubt that Lester Young is your real name, but it also reminds me of LY aka " Pres " that great American tenor sax player. The only time I was in New Zealand was in 1993 with the Sydney bass player Tony Buckley as guests of the Rotarua Jazz Festival, I have my good friend Dally Messenger 111 to thank for posting my tunes on Youtube. But thanks again Lester.

  • Nice one, Alex!! Hope you are well and still swinging like a gate.

  • With Australian folklore becoming less important unfortunately, but given that The Road to Gundagai is synonymous with Aussie folklore, my friend Dally Messenger has put my recording of this song herewith. Enjoy.
