I think whispering is underrated, you don't have to sing and shout out loud every single word if it's not in the mood. It's like telling a secret to someone special, and the uncertainty of not knowing if that someone special feels the same, hoping that he/she will see that tiny little expression of your feelings. That's the spirit of Slowdive, I think.

@kibaz143 initially (around the time i started singing), i would lock myself in my closet and sing/play guitar in a way that made it impossible for anyone to hear me, mostly because i wasn't confident with singing aloud. i wouldn't say that's the reason it has stuck with me ever since, but i guess i have sort of an affinity for singing quietly and i feel more comfortable doing so. you could also say it's a representation of my personality, as cheesy as that sounds.
